People with PTSD may avoid situations or people that remind them of the traumatic event, and they may have strong negative reactions to something as ordinary as a loud noise or an accidental touch. This concept mix is not intended to be a pleasant listen. I brought in loud, imposing heatbeats that speed up/slow down and uncomfortably low bass rumbles to evoke that sense of unease and foreboding. PTSD flashbacks are sudden, disturbing, vivid, and can be set off by seemingly innocuous stimuli. I structured the mix to reach a loud climax twice on purpose (will give an inspirational shoutout to Tamizha Tamizha from Roja). 

The Tamil song, Vidai Kodu Engal Naade, is from the AR Rahman soundtrack of the movie Kannathil Muthammittal, and is about the desperate state of the Tamil Genocide in Sri Lanka that lasted from the 1980s into the mid 2000s. The Rick Ross song Purple Lamborghini not only fell directly in line BPM and key-wise, but has a subset of lyrics that imply the same cornered feeling.
"Oru Sugam Varuma?" roughly translates to "Will it ever get better?"
