The Rogue Element were a DJ/Producer duo haling from the UK consisting of members Ben Medcalf and James Tomlinson. Ben, the original member of The Rogue Element certainly needs no introduction. An international DJ, Breakspoll award winning producer and has released on labels such as Skint, Exceptional and Fat Records. He has remixed and collaborated for the likes of Fat Boy Slim, Lee Coombs, Krafty Kuts, Stanton Warriors, Soul of Man and the list goes on.

James known to others as Call Me T is a solo artist in his own right. Both were at the top of the scene when the Tech Funk Breakbeat genre was at it's height and released a lot of music through the now defunct LOT49 label.

This mix was recorded for Triple J Radio Australia back in 2006.

Starting 102 bpm with some Wu Tang Hip Hop classics remixed with Roxanne Shante & Canibus raps. Moving up the pace with 118 bpm Funky Breaks mixed up with some Naughty by Nature, Rakim & Run DMC. Then some Enter the Dragon 128 bpm Beats, Breaks and Basslines to finish.

Featurecast rose to fame in the early days of the genre Nu Funk and through the record label Goodgroove Records. His funky breaks music and DJ mixes were highly sort after at the time and Featurecast led the way into the newly formed Ghetto Funk Genre and record label. The Ghetto Funk movement had a huge following and still does to this day with it's wobbly bass lines over funky breakbeats. Featurecast has been a bit quite of late concentrating on sound design and his Patreon to basically make a living.

Trans4mers have been playing out across the UK since 2006. We have held resident slots for Planet Breaks, Heal Festival & Fantazia. We have featured on the world famous Street Sounds Radio "5 Minutes of fire mix" and hold a monthly 2 hour slot on BreakFM. We are proud to have supported some great names over the years including Melle Mel & The Furious Five, Kurtis Blow, Jaguar Skills, Dj Yoda to name but a few. 

Trans4mers came 2nd place runners up in the world wide let's mix dj contest held by IDJ magazine. We have also been Nominated in the Best Dj category at the 2023 Shropshire Music Awards. 

We embrace Serato & Phase technology giving us the ability to play lots of classics in our set but we love to mash them up live - Pushing creative boundaries and bringing experimental mash ups to the dance floor. You never hear the same old thing as the last dj's played when we hit the stage. 

Super slick scratching and mixing has earned us props across the scene. We love dropping Old Skool Hip Hop, Nu Breaks, Jungle, 140 Breaks, Retro Electro, Drum&Bass and anything else we fancy... a bit of Frank Sinatra or Jefferson Airplane.. no problem! All sprayed with film samples, live loop mash ups and wacky sounds.
