The first continuity announcement, probably,, for Philip Elsimore. 24 years later, on New Year's Eve 1992-93, he would announce the final programme to air on Thames.

Today would come crashing down years later when the Sex Pistols were invited to the studio and led to the destruction of the career of Bill Grundy. After Today was canceled, Thames News was started, starting with some time as Thames at Six.
