Our next release on Rapture is an EP from our resident artist Shaun Ashley, comprising of tracks, The Emperor which is a collaboration with JustJem and the other track which is No Man, which he has done on his own!

The Emperor has an incredibly hard-hitting kick-bass that will rattle rib cages as well as ear drums! Accompanied with a siren that tannoys over the track it's like you're being warned of what lies ahead. We start feeling a mixture of emotions from the synth and bassline which continues right through to the break. Then when it drops we have that old school classic style melody that takes you on a journey to the end of the track!

No Man is a an exhilarating trance track taking you on a journey through sound and joy. It begins with woodblock styled plucks composed in an uplifting melody, a bouncy bassline and inspiring JFK vocals before a dubstep styled break that leads us into a friendly reverse-bass and further lifting melody, taking us back to thoughts of summer vibes! We then hear some slightly mellow synths that get emotions flowing, before picking back up ahead of the breakdown. The main drop conquers the previous emotions with an invigorating melody and synth that will make dance floors go crazy! This is a must have tune for anyone wanting to enhance their happiness with emphatic vibes.

Up next from Shaun's forthcoming album, is something a little unexpected, Shaun has done a VIP of an old release of ours called Beanson - MDMA, this was one of our very first releases, which was produced by Shaun and Mike Green aka Beanson.

Transfixion Recordings first burst onto the scene back in December 2010 when good friends Zac Steele, Chris Parr (Chris Xofurmik) and Mark Dronfield (Dj Dronatron) decided to start a new production label together. Initially Zac's idea, the first person to join the then nameless crew was Chris. The two had been close friends for years so naturally as soon as Zac mentioned the idea to Chris he was instantly on board recommending they use the name 'Transfixion Recordings' or 'TFIX' for short, thus Transfixion was born. Very soon after (before any releases) Mark, who had previously been active on Zac's former label 'Sketchy Records' was drafted in to continue being a part of the team as well. Over the next 2 years the label released over 20 tracks, lots of which becoming big hits on the free party scene, helping the label as well as Zac, Chris and Mark to gain a strong following. Since 2010 more people have come to be involved with Transfixion known collectively as the 'TFIX Family'. This includes close friends Josh Clough 'Dj Fluff', Shaun Gallagher and Josh Flood 'Dj Daihatsu'. Look out for new releases very soon!
