This week 6AM welcomes Brazilian master selector Bervon for the Guest Mix. Speaking on his special guest mix, Bervon says listeners should expect "a set some of my influences... mixing different techno sounds with darker, square, straight and introspective characteristics."

The ability to change people's emotions in a positive way is an essential quality for artists who want to truly connect with the crowd. Bervon, for example, understands that when he is called to take over the DJ booth, regardless of location, he has a mission to accomplish: to bring those ahead of him to his own universe, creating an intense environment where there are no boundaries for fun. He enjoys the bass and fast kicks of techno to exude a euphoric rhythm in his performances, precisely inserting the melodic and dark elements into the construction of his set, ensuring to select the right songs at the right time for the crowd. 

Those attributes are also present in his productions, which have garnered approval and signed by labels such as Egothermia Records (Netherlands), Ballroom Black (Germany), Cartel Recordings (Germany), Noise Music (Brazil), Hotstage Records (Brazil), Kaligo Records (Brazil) and Spliced Vinyl Recordings (Canada). Bervon, who has shared the stage with Christian Smith, Shall Ocin and Vinicius Honorio, had his track played by Wehbba, aside from performances at clubs such as Vibe, Inbox and Universo Paralello - at the festival's 20-year edition - today dreams of taking his music to Europe and spread his talent across Brazilian borders, carrying with him the knowledge and passion for techno.

Metempsychosis has its home in London, and has been releasing experimental and industrial influenced techno for the last few years that has welcomed artists like Headless Horseman, Oscar Mulero, Kwartz, Answer Code Request, Lag and Eomac to contribute to their catalogue.

The newest release has a total of seven individual tracks, and the opener from Italian VSK most certainly caught our attention. An artist known for his appearances on labels such as Perc Trax, Tommy Four Seven’s 47, Bas Mooy’s Mord or Developer’s Modularz to name only a few, delivers another thundering weapon.

For this DT:Premiere we selected his track called “Spectral Assignment” that begins with a dark and brooding mood. The uncompromising, rolling beat is lit up with haunting textures and electronic pulses creating clouds of epic sound design and deep immersion in the details.

Luca Tresque debuts on Unrilis with a driving techno EP that has raw sounds and hypnotic grooves.

Hailing from Austria, Luca Tresque is the co-owner of Splatter imprint and has released on Florian Meindl's FLASH, Robert Hoff's trau-ma, and Alex Bau's Credo. Known for his exceptional DJ skills being a resident at Kantine Club, he has also played at the respected KHIDI, Werk, and Grelle Forelle venues.

Unrilis is a record label Co-Founded by the late Rino Cerrone, and Luca Tresque is the latest artist to join the imprints roster.

"Oxygen" is the EP's title track, and it layers trippy vocals with a hulking synth line stretched over high-velocity percussion. Next up, "Dunes Everywhere" has a murky lead synth combining with fizzing hi-hats and a ground shaking low-end. "Exotic Frog" closes the release with atmospheric pads and croaking synth bursts combined with intense claps and a hammering kick.
