New York psycho-delicate band, Transistor Ray has been playing music for a number of years in and around New York City. With its damaged diva-like singing and lush arrangements of guitars, piano, flutes, and horns, their music sounds sounds like Velvet Underground playing Burt Bacharach covers. At its core -- the music is supremely melodic, groovy, and occassionally uncanny -- veering off into stranger places like cocktail music being played in a demented elven workshop.
