As we welcome the beginning of 2025 and another year of music, we're excited to announce that we’ll be releasing a few recordings from our favorite parties of 2024.

Looking back at the past year, we were privileged to host an incredible crew of friends from all over the world.

Having roots in Japan and Cuba, Yuzo Iwata has been a prominent figure in the music scene. Since 2011, he has been organizing the “FLOPPY” party at Precious Hall in Sapporo. In 2016, he relocated to Berlin and in 2018, released his debut EP, “Kiteki,” on Pluie/Noir. In 2022, And he released his debut album, “Kaizu,” through Butter Sessions in Melbourne. His music paints on this album an imaginary story reminiscent of traveling the world’s islands by boat, offering an exotic and borderless array of sounds with various electronic rhythms, earning recognition by various music media.

In Berlin, Yuzo Iwata has worked at the record shop Sound Metaphors, curating a diverse record collection with a core of psychedelia. He has also played at various venues across the city including Säule at Berghain, Globus at Tresor, Ohm, Club Ost, Renate, About Blank, Club Der Visionaere, Hoppetosse, among others. His DJ selections span a wide range of genres, incorporating funky basslines, and providing a minimal physicality and blissful touch while delivering dynamic music experiences. His music invites listeners to dance while evoking various landscapes and emotions, leading them on a warm and immersive musical journey.

One memory that often comes up in conversation is Yuzo’s set at Evening Breeze last July. His two-hour mix was a masterclass in deep groove, funk, and psychedelia. While it might not have been the obvious choice for a transit party, the payoff was immeasurable as we experienced an impressive display of experience, knowledge, and skill.
