Hypnotic Black Magic, based between Berlin and Lisbon, has become a defining figure in the deep techno circuit. As the visionary behind Art Bei Ton, a label, podcast, and event series, she’s been instrumental in shaping a more inclusive and experimental corner of the scene. With a taste rooted in hypnotic techno, ambient textures, and ritualistic rhythms, HBM’s sets are known for weaving loopy patterns, groovy basslines, and dreamlike atmospheres. From Tresor to VENT and beyond, she’s built a global reputation not just for her electrifying sets but for fostering spaces where FLINTA* and queer artists thrive. Through projects like Ambient Sleepers and events spanning New York to Seoul, she channels her DIY ethos into curating experiences that transcend music, offering cathartic moments for dancefloors worldwide.

Hypnotic Black Magic’s mix for Delayed seamlessly reflects her artistry. Over the course of an hour, she conjures a spellbinding atmosphere, opening with eerie female vocals and liquid basslines that ripple and shift like a mirage. The set takes on a nostalgic dimension, featuring some of her favorite tracks from the mid-2010s, proof that timelessness in techno isn’t about release dates but resonance. HBM delivers a technically flawless mix, creating a steady ascent that holds tension without ever feeling forced. This is hypnotic techno at its finest: immersive without excess, subtle yet captivating (I know, I know, this adjective is way overused nowadays, but it fits perfectly to describe this mix). Voices from The Lake hybrid live at Draaimolen Festival 2024

Our own @raleigh-harmony hadn’t done a solo closing on Harmony since 2017, we were keen on putting him to the test again after such a break.
By the time he started, @ankali has already been fully engaged after the energetic, self-confident performances from Dash, Zeynep, D. Tiffany, and Ayu’s cutting-edge live set that we posted a couple weeks ago.
Throughout the night—which maintained a steady progressive, adequately trancey vibe—Raleigh added a slight mental twist to it before everyone headed off to join their loved ones around the Christmas tree.

Mark Peeters’ self-styled persona Caim exudes good vibes, an aura of love and is a guaranteed good night out. He’s a Dutch producer and jockey with pep in his step, bouncing from club to club, continent to continent, never taking himself too seriously, simply relaying sounds as they come and giving his crowds the fun they came for. Watch him play and there might just be one question left to answer, whether it’s him or those on the other side of his set-up enjoying themselves more. Years into his musical project he’s got the stamina of a newly minted selector, a ‘knob-twitching, crate digging’ beat enthusiast whose sets twist and turn from techno to trance to breakbeat to house. Alongside a residency at Amsterdam’s Breakfast Club and at the helm of his city’s Mood parties, he also runs Lonely Planet Records, a label on which his own EP is set for release on November 15th. The Medusa Hunter is set to be a futuristic, Goa-inspired record where the myths of the past and the bright lights of future converge. Little doubt it’s going to be a banger. Bassiani Podcast 243 brings his stream of references together in a groovy mash up that gently rises and falls, three hours and thirteen minutes of sweet-toothed electronic bliss, a set recorded live during his performance on the Horoom floor back in September.

Last year we had her over for a back-2-back with Konduku at our ADE party, and we’re excited to announce her as the first confirmed artist for Nous’klaer Festival on June 28! 

Jesse G comes from the Berlin school of techno, being affiliated with RSO, Tresor and Hard Wax - a serious talent everyone should watch. Even more so because of how effortlessly she makes techno sound so fun. Dive into her sound with this sublime one hour mix.

Simultaneously, it initiates physical responses such as heartbeat, breathing, goosebumps, and the release of dopamine and serotonin. Within musical experience, the amygdala allows us to sense the emotional undertones of others intuitively, even before the mind can interpret them. This process is known as affective empathy.
