Number 73 brings Frankfurt-based duo ''VILLA'' to the Podcast Series. After having them over in Berlin for our Summer Groove edition at Else, we knew we needed to have them on display for this month's entry.

VILLA is known for their dynamic performances and modern approach to their genre both in Germany and internationally. Their creative mixing and high-energy tracks have built them a loyal, growing fan base. Also their own productions have received critical acclaim and offered them releases on labels such as Monnom Black, Mutual Rytm and Akronym. With their style being supported by notable DJs around the globe, VILLA is a duo to be looking out for.

Hailing from Dublin, Ireland, Finn Mcentee is a fast rising DJ/Producer who thrives on sounds surrounding all things ghetto, house and techno. From a production standpoint, his sound is extremely recognisable, with his use of old school vocals and rough, pounding basslines. As a DJ, Finn pays homage to the sound of late 90's - early 2000's groove and techno. With his immaculate use of layering, Finn creates a relentless groove within his sets. Having already received international support on his productions, Finn is definitely someone to keep an eye on in the ever growing Irish techno scene and beyond. Enjoy! Our third iteration of ALLURECAST has been created by Perth-based producer/DJ Boy In Nature, who embodies the driven naivety needed in electronic music -both with an experimentation in sound, and for creating contagious DJ sets that connect with the largest rooms. 

Blending elements from tribal techno, ambient and hardgroove in both his productions and DJ sets and drawing on inspiration from being immersed in the club scene he writes tracks with an abundance of collaborators based locally and internationally and has had track support from Alarico, Chlär, XCLUB, Lars Huismann & more.

His set for allure offers a mix of his signature hypnotic groove, catchy vocal chops and energy, with released and unreleased tracks.

TECH CLUBBERS PODCAST W/ THE MILLER

The Miller was born in the city of Gothenburg, Sweden, in 1978. His journey into the captivating world of music production commenced in 1992 when he first laid hands on an Amiga 500 computer and the revolutionary Protracker software. However, it was in 1996 that he truly found his calling, becoming captivated by the possibilities presented by Fasttracker II.
Following his relocation to Stockholm between 2002, The Miller experienced a zenith of creativity that left an indelible mark on the techno music landscape. During this period, his innovative sound graced vinyl releases on esteemed labels such as Pertence (BR), Sway (SE), Wetmusik (AU), and Primevil (UK). These ventures showcased his ability to seamlessly blend genres, solidifying his status as a versatile and influential artist.
After a hiatus from the techno scene, The Miller resurfaced in 2022 with a successful release on the distinguished Mexican label Anaøh, characterized by a Latin influenced sound, especially in the percussions, and funk rhythms combined with his already classic deep and hard basses.

Sinister Wave's "Affliction" is a four-track EP that plunges deep into the shadowy corridors of techno. Each piece stands as a distinct sonic statement, yet together they form a tightly woven narrative—equal parts cerebral and visceral.

Failed Rebellion opens and veers into more experimental terrain. Fractured melodies collide in a controlled storm of sound design. The track’s off-kilter structure and daring textures showcase Sinister Wave's fearless approach to pushing genre boundaries.

Emptiness follows with a raw, unrelenting energy. Anchored by a throbbing bassline and razor-sharp percussion, it channels industrial grit and peak-time intensity. This is techno at its most primal—designed to ignite dance floors and command attention.

Affliction, is a journey with a brooding, cinematic atmosphere. A steady pulse drives forward beneath layers of ghostly pads and echoing synth stabs, conjuring a vast, immersive space. It’s a hypnotic overture that sets the tone with precision and depth.

Closing the release is The One Who Is Many, a deep, dub-infused meditation. Rolling low-end grooves and spectral pads evolve in slow motion, creating a sense of introspection and emotional release. It’s a haunting finale that lingers long after the last beat fades.
