The New Planet by Translunar

Please fine enclosed the last of my BLADE RUNNER inspired cinematic themes which I have written to showcase my musical theme writing and producing ability.&#13;
&#13;
For information for non BLADE RUNNER people, the NEXUS 6 is the type of Replicant designed in the BLADE RUNNER world and as quoted, "These "skin jobs", Tyrell Corporation Nexus-6 models, have only a four-year lifespan to prevent them from developing emotions, and may have come to Earth to try to extend their lives." A bit like WAG's and X Factor contestants I thought?( that is my attempt at humour).&#13;

Anyway, this track was composed and produced by TRANSLUNAR using the following Electronic musical instruments, Computer Hardware and VST's:&#13;
Edirol &amp; Akai Midi Keyboards via MACBOOK PRO&#13;

NEXUS 6

Hi Soundcloud friends, I enclose a new track which is a departure for me and was great to create!! This track is for entry into the OraMIX Science museum competition which finishes on January 16th 2012.&#13;

Just for some background Daphne Oram was a British Composer and Electronic musician who along with Ron Grainer and Delia Derbyshire revolutionised British music and setup the BBC Radiophonic workshop where she was the first Studio manager. This competition has been set to use some of the original stems from sounds and recording's used by Ms Oram using her invention's and I have decided to create some Dark ambient electronic music and enter this competition!!!&#13;

Spirits of the moon - OraMIX

Please checkout a new piece which is called COSMOS: 

In the general sense, a cosmos is an orderly or harmonious system. It originates from the Greek term κόσμος (kosmos), meaning "order" or "ornament"[1] and is antithetical to the concept of chaos. Today, the word is generally used as a synonym of the word Universe (considered in its orderly aspect). The word cosmos originates from the same root. In many Slavic languages such as Russian and Bulgarian, the word Космос cosmos means also the "outer space". In Mandarin Chinese, cosmos is translated as 宇宙 yuzhou, which literally translated means space-time (宇 yu = space + 宙 zhou = time).

This track is of course space related and inspired and please check it out, comment and fav if you like.

HI folks,

I just enclose a new track which is part of a new concept I am working on called ADVENTURES IN SPACE!!! This will be the title of my next album and I enclose a track which not finished completely will feature on this album!

It is also significant for me as I am using more digital sounds via Waldorf PPG so please check it out, comment and fav if you like!!!

DESERT MOON - FREE DOWNLOAD!!!

Hi all,
It does amuse me sometimes that a great deal of my music is compared to Jarre. Now I take that as a compliment, however my attitude when making music is always coming from a Melodic structural approach when working on a piece. With this in mind I very much came from the approach of being totally inspired on this tune by Jarre as well as writing a new melody.

Anyway, it is another piece made at 125BPM(that I can hook together) and I quite like it. Take a listen and fav and download.

A new planet—probably a rocky super-Earth—has been found squarely within its star's habitable zone, making it one of the best candidates yet to support life, its discoverers say.&#13;

The planet, dubbed GJ 667Cc, orbits a red dwarf star 22 light-years from Earth, in the constellation Scorpio. A binary pair of orange dwarf stars are part of the same system.&#13;
&#13;

The new planet has a mass 4.5 times that of Earth and orbits its host star every 28 days.&#13;
&#13;
The red dwarf is relatively dim, so the planet receives slightly less light from its star than Earth does from the sun. But most of the star's light is infrared, so the planet should absorb more of its incoming energy than Earth does from sunlight.&#13;
&#13;
That means if the planet has a rocky surface—which is predicted for planets less than ten times Earth's mass—and an atmosphere, it could support liquid water and maybe life, said co-discoverer Guillem Anglada-Escudé, who conducted the work while at the Carnegie Institution for Science in Washington, D.C.&#13;
&#13;
"If it has an atmosphere, it's probably reddish all the time, because the star is really red," Anglada-Escudé said. "It would be like being evening all the time."&#13;
&#13;
For any hypothetical observers on the surface, the binary stars in the distance would be "very prominent in the sky, and it would be an exotic thing."&#13;
&#13;
