The Upload 21-10-19

In the first half of 2025, I spent a lot of time working on various fast-paced Psytrance projects ... a beautiful way for me to express my emotions and my deep love for the scene and the genre itself. At the same time, I was also involved in several Techno projects behind the scenes for hausgemacht.

When summer arrived, I took the time to recharge, reconnected with mother nature, traveled a lot, find new inspiration, and finally I decided to explore ideas I had been wanting to try for a long while.

This track was one of those experiments that had been floating around in my mind for quite some time. I wanted to create something ethnic, slower, and more atmospheric - yet still deeply rooted in psychedelic music.

For a long time, I wasn’t sure whether I should release it at all because it doesn't really fit into anything, but leaving it hidden on my drive felt wrong. Even months after finishing it, I still love listening to it.

So here it is — enjoy the journey and have a beautiful trip. <3

Unity Records introduced a brand new EP from Barbuto & Da Fresh, comprised of two collab singles.

Austin, Texas-based DJ & Producer Barbuto has partnered with Freshin Records label boss Da Fresh to produce a slick two-track techno EP that harnesses the combined power of the duo’s formidable talents.

"Zig Zag" adopts more of a tech house vibe with a swinging beat augmented by crisp percussion and thoughtful variations in rhythm. A cerebral journey that draws the listener in as the track builds momentum, Zig Zag is a cleverly-crafted counterpoint to the EP’s more aggressive opener.

The Guided Perception EP will be released on Unity Records, a label based out of Toronto focusing on the best underground techno and tech house.

Premiere: Barbuto, Da Fresh "Zig Zag" - Unity Records

We get inspired by ADE's madness by bringing you a new TR Pattern VA that features 4 bangers from the likes Fractious, Frank Arvonio, Robert Junior, Tony Di Angelis, Lewis Delay and Distale. The compilation kicks in with a collaboration between Fractious and Frank Arvonio called 'Battleworld', a hard driving pounding track with dark stabbing keys. Track 2 features the usual suspects on Transmit Robert Junior, Tony Di Angelis with their 'Strange Feelings' a dark grungy heavy on the bass track. We continue with yet another special collab this time Frank Arvonio worked with Lewis Delay to deliver 'Alien Tribes' a base heavy groovy techno jam! The VA closes with Distale who debuts on the label with his track 'Wax' made with an old school techno vibe that rocks throughout the whole track.  We hope you enjoy the third edition of this TR Patten compilation dedicated to Amsterdam.

Premiere: Roel Salemink - Transforming (Transcode Remix) [Intec]

Luca Agnelli’s Etruria Beat sees Italian artist Bastinov return with a fantastic full-length album entitled All Through The Night, this Autumn. Bastinov is a master-craftsmen who imbues his music with melody and spirituality. After first releasing on Etruria in 2013, his standout sound design and the richness of his synth-work has continued to catch attention from the likes of Adam Beyer, Sven Väth, Pan-Pot. Across six superb EP releases, he has subtly developed his sound and now, on this debut album, makes his most complete and coherent musical statement yet. ‘Deep Forest’ majestically opens the album, raining true to its title is like a journey through a lush organic landscape. Bubbling synths and drums get you in a trance on ‘All Through The Night’ and the range of synths on ‘Genesis’, from smooth to pixelated to thunderous, lend the techno a truly immersive feel. Bastinov then expertly explores a range of moods on suspense-fueled ‘Eternia’, over to darker and moodier on ‘Hyperion’ while ‘Dantze’ layers up scintillating cosmic keys above elongated grooves that all build and build to an intense peak. The second half of the album is just as artful, with the surging Detroit styles of ‘Evnt’ and celestial melodic rain of ‘Proteus’. The Veneti artist showcases his ability to make synths take any form as he skews and stretches them to the heavens, or breaks them into crystalline droplets on ‘Arponoid’ and ‘Elaysia’. This intense, absorbing trip finishes with ‘Der Love Train’ and ‘Devine’ a in a set of highly emotive tracks that sweep to otherworldly spaces and back again with the euphoric vocals of experimental/industrial artist KnowKontrol featuring on ‘The Silence Of The Night’.

Widely regarded as one of the most exciting young producers to emerge onto the US techno circuit over the past few years, New Mexico native Dustin Holtsberry now makes his eagerly anticipated return to @popofofficial's @form-music with his formidable three-track extended player, ‘Shadows’. 

Due for worldwide release on February 14, Dustin Holtsberry’s Shadows EP marks the American’s first full release of the new decade and his all-important sophomore outing on the iconic French label, following the critically acclaimed release of his ‘Valkyrie’ EP back in March 2019. 

Kicking off the EP with the impressive title track ‘Shadows’, Dustin makes his intentions known from the off, as he combines minimalist drum patterns, sweeping pads and dark synth stabs to devastating effect. Upping the intensity for the middle order, pulsating kicks, supernatural samples and thunderous basslines provide the backbone of the second track ‘Thunder’, before Dustin completes another remarkable EP release on FORM with the imposing closer ‘Viper’.
