"Sleepwalking"

Another day in the life, indeed. "Sleepwalking" takes the listener through the worrisome aftermath of a homicide that occurred earlier in the day and shows the neighborhood's speculative reaction to it. The narrator, vaguely familiar with the victim, recognizes the gossip and talking points as a source of entertainment for the inhabitants of the neighborhood; people who are themselves flawed yet attempting to pass blind judgment and make split-second assumptions about the dead. As much as the track highlights how dehumanized people have become by the loss of human life, the centralized point here is how everyone and everything can be a reflection of ourselves....And unfortunately people of lesser quality feel the need to make that comparison.
