Narcissus is a popular social media influencer, known for his captivating online persona and striking looks. He’s obsessed with maintaining his image on social platforms, often neglecting real-world relationships in favor of his virtual adoration. Echo, a software engineer and follower, falls deeply in love with the image Narcissus portrays online. She tries to connect with him through DMs and comments, but her attempts are largely ignored or met with minimal interest.

Echo confronts Narcissus in person on BART, only to be dismissed as he is more focused on live-streaming the event. Heartbroken, Echo retreats into a Vision Pro where she can interact with an idealized version of Narcissus. As Narcissus's obsession with his digital image intensifies, his real-world presence diminishes, leading to a decline in his online popularity and a loss of his personal identity.

A cautionary tale about the perils of social media obsession and the importance of genuine human connections.
