Parallel Journey - Attention [TE0222]

Guillermo Canale a.k.a. DJ Nim, nacido en La Plata y criado entre Jose Marmol y Adrogué, descubrió su conexión especial con la música cuando hacia el fin de su adolescencia había reunido más de 400 cassettes piratas, entre los que había Metal, Rock Alternativo, Hip Hop y especialmente Hardcore Melódico.
Su acercamiento a la electrónica fue a través del Jungle y Drum & Bass de fines de los 90, con sus beats acelerados y bajos profundos, en los que encontró la energía e intensidad que amaba del rock de guitarras.

Desde entonces se ha dedicado a coleccionar con afición de melómano, y desde 2002, a pasar como DJ géneros de “electrónica con ritmos quebrados” (Jungle, Nu Skool Breaks, Grime, Dubstep, Juke, Glitch Hop, etc). 

Del Techno le atraían su concepto y texturas, pero no fue hasta 2014 cuando sus amigos Acid-D y Lut le mostraron el Offbeat Techno, en el que convergian el diálogo rítmico que había aprendido a apreciar de los breaks con la potencia inmersiva y tribal del Techno. Desde entonces se ha vuelto un autoproclamado embajador de este subgénero, representado todas sus facetas.

Ha sido residente en las fiestas Dubstep.ar y Zizek Club, y junto a estos últimos también cofundador y productor de la fiesta y de su sello discográfico, ZZK Records. En este sello se ha desempeñado históricamente como A&R, curando los 4 álbumes compilatorios “ZZK Sound”. 

En la actualidad se enfoca en TORNA, un subproyecto en ZZK Records de lanzamientos de electrónica latinoamericana. En producir el ciclo TAKE A BREAK que presenta DJs y productores en relación a los “ritmos quebrados”; coproducir el ciclo 2087 que explora la “música del futuro”, y coproducir también el ciclo Fértil Club junto a Fertil Discos, un abordaje contemporáneo a la música de raíz latinoamericana en formato de fiesta nocturna, con su correlato de lanzamientos discográficos.

Fuelled by an endless fascination with sound in all its forms, OTON has spent over a decade navigating the vast spectrum of electronic music through producing, mixing, mastering, and DJing — with live performance at the heart of his explorations in all sorts of mental and hypnotic techno.In 2021, he launched Alliance Club, initially as a platform to share his own music with a growing audience. Today, the project has evolved into an independent collective, party series and imprint, known for its integrity and support of alternative artists and scenes. Alliance Club now holds residencies at some of Belgium’s most iconic institutions, including Botanique, Fuse, C12, and Listen Festival. After previously exploring sonic territories characterized by breakbeat rhythms, psychedelic textures, tribal drumming, and raw mental energy, OTON unveiled his critically acclaimed LP, New Forms of Silence, in March 2025. This landmark release marked a decisive and profound shift in his artistic direction, signaling a new chapter in his sonic evolution. This autumn, OTON is set to return with its highly anticipated sequel, New Forms of Silence 2. This new offering delves even deeper into the introspective and resonant side of techno, embracing dubbier elements while demonstrating a clear reverence for the genre's classic roots. Yet, OTON continuously pushes the boundaries of sound design, infusing each track with his unmistakable signature, all released under the Alliance Club banner.

In order to concentrate on his own underground productions, Piotr Figiel created the techno label RWETES. Piotr Figiel has established himself in the Polish scene and abroad, performing alongside artists such as Surgeon, Tom Hades, Paul Birken, Deas, and Esther Duijn. He also includes music on Developer's Modularz, Children of Tomorrow by Arnaud Le Texier, Unknown Territory by Lex Gorrie, Induxtriall by H. Paul.

For this DT:Premiere we selected "Perhaps in the Dark Zone I Will Be Light" with a cinematic and atmospheric sound. A warm bass pump and stripped down groove chuggs forward with a robotic vocal snippet and electrifying frequencies providing an immersive overlay to this raw, analogue trip.
