West Rules is the Argentina-based imprint that has seen artists like Antonio De Angelis, Re:Axis, Casual Treatment and Arnaud Le Texier make contributions to their catalogue.

Its label head Joaquin Ruiz known for releasing on Ben Sims’ Symbolism, Alex Dolby’s Affekt and Joton’s Newrhythmic, offers the latest EP with two original tracks along with two remixes by Italy’s Matteo Cortese and Spain’s Linear System.

For this DT:Premiere we selected the title track “Breathings” with a chunky and rolling beat making up the foundations. Robotic sweeps and elastic twangs create the sci-fi influenced hook combining a raw techno sound with creative sound design.

In order to concentrate on his own underground productions, Piotr Figiel created the techno label RWETES. Piotr Figiel has established himself in the Polish scene and abroad, performing alongside artists such as Surgeon, Tom Hades, Paul Birken, Deas, and Esther Duijn. He also includes music on Developer's Modularz, Children of Tomorrow by Arnaud Le Texier, Unknown Territory by Lex Gorrie, Induxtriall by H. Paul.

For this DT:Premiere we selected "Perhaps in the Dark Zone I Will Be Light" with a cinematic and atmospheric sound. A warm bass pump and stripped down groove chuggs forward with a robotic vocal snippet and electrifying frequencies providing an immersive overlay to this raw, analogue trip.
