Celebrating 10 years of existence with a statement, Berlin’s GEGEN is releasing a solid 3-part compilation, grounding their work of the past decade into the newly founded label’s sonic aesthetic by showcasing the artists that have been at the heart of the infamous party series. This VA is a bundle of 30 tracks hailing from the true ride-or-die residents at the core of the project to the headliners whose support have propelled the collective from day one as well as up-and-coming artists that Gegen takes to heart to support.

Curated with our love for techno’s history of diversity in mind, this release travels through different subgenres and BPM and takes you from classic techno to industrial, hardcore to breakbeat, deconstructed to acid. Whether you are up for an ethereal epic eerie journey (Ellen Allien, Femanyst), looking to get dirty in punk distortion (Hypnoskull, Bombardier), needing to release energy on some tense walkyrie anthems (Paula Temple, Espectra Negra, Ayako Mori), wanting to indulge in some raw hard hitters (Ayarcana, Tunnel, Esther Duijn), losing yourself in spacious hypnotic trips (Cristian Marras, La Fraicheur & Leonard de Leonard, Non Reversible, Lady Maru), craving from some groovy cuts (Bloody Mary, Mar/us, Years of Denial) or wishing for deconstructed and drums focused tracks (SKD, Scalameriya), you will find what you are looking for in this compilation that proudly represents the Gegen sound.

"Fanzine Records expands in the time-space continuum with the launch of IOR, a sub-label that showcases Roi's most personal vision of his Techno universe: categorical, expansive, with gigantic basses and propulsive rhythms. IOR emerges as a sub-outlet for the increasingly prolific production of Coruña’s native artist. IOR spreads around dualities: past-future, avant-garde and tradition, inspiration in the homeland (‘Magical Galician’, its myths and legends, misty and humid forests...), and at the same time in the dystopian abstraction of Techno, the confused present and the uncertain future.
The forthcoming EPs will be linked to different characters from Galician history and mythology, as with this second release, 'Mouras EP'. This dualistic vision of past-future is one of the germinal signs of IOR, where Roi's hefty, opaque and point-blank Techno merges hand by hand with mythological and magical chapters from a remote place at the end of the Earth."

47 marks TEN YEARS with its 47th and final release, closing the catalogue at 47047.

Launched as an event series by Tommy Four Seven in Berlin’s intimate Arena Club in 2014, the 47 parties paved the way to the label we’ve come to know today, inspiring and encouraging a host of interdisciplinary artists along the way. The imprint opened in 2015 with a V/A, and now, ten years later, 47 comes full circle with the release of its last-ever record and compilation.

As always, the various artist collection reflects the imprint’s long-running ethos of championing underground and upcoming talent. Titled ‘Ten Years’, the record features label debuts from Jin Synth, Casual Treatment, SAMA, Yrsen, and contributions from familiar faces like Pause, Rommek and AgainstMe, to name a few.

Across the 20-track V/A, each artist delivers precise and sonically rich productions, spanning several palettes. You’ll find a dreamy soundscape punctuated by blips and bleeps from Amotik. Claustrophobic atmospheres and winding rhythms by Innersha. Liquid melodies and maximalist basslines from Ana Rs. Moonlit synths and icy motifs by VSK. Club-driven 4/4 techno with a metallic sheen from ASEC. An emotive take on ambient and techno from Linn Elisabet. A spiralling trip with IDM touches from Nørbak, and more.

‘Ten Years’ mirrors the adventurous attitude of 47, celebrating the artists and sounds who’ve helped to build the label’s solid reputation, leaving an indelible signature on electronic music for years to come.
