CF Premiere: Carara - YSP 001 [Hxagrm Records]

Like a sheet of metal slamming against the floor, Tiefton’s EP arrives swiftly, loudly, and causing tremor.

With an EP filled with rapid-onset brutalist beats, the Frankfurt artist manages to hypnotize the listener, delivering quick blows and sharp turns in the form of highly danceable structures. Endlessly meandering through streams of liquified sound, weaved around metallic texture, the ep’s expansive sound seems to infinitely fold in on itself like a poly-dimensional object.

We have invited Lidvall to reshape the sounds of this EP into his remix of Only I Will Remain, where we are treated to a bleak scenery, the outcry of metallic vultures encircling their spoils, with the rummage of a pillaging steamroller echoing in the background.

In front of us is an EP equally capable of exploring inner and outer space.

- Cover image of NGC 6729 by Pfirter. It's a reflection/emission nebula in the constellation Corona Australis. The area is interspersed with dark clouds (which partially cover our vision of the red nebulae) with abundant dust. This causes the new stars to reflect their light on the dust and present a very evident bluish color. -

In this mini-mix series, I showcase the tracks released on E-HRZN Records in a relatively quick mixing style while still trying to maintain a cohesive flow throughout the session.

In this mix, I showcase the thirteen tracks on Matt Altman's "The Painful Quest of Denji LP." Ranging from tracks filled with brute, destructive power to deep, hypnotic moments, this is surely an album to not be missed.
