Omun – als langjähriger Begleiter und Freund von Luno – hat sich nicht lumpen lassen, eine etwas technoidere Interpretation für Punta als Remix zu liefern, wodurch die Punta EP eine bunte Mischung in verschiedenen Genre und Stimmungen widerspiegelt.

The title track "Cosmico" is an anthem to the infinite, a deep, hypnotic journey that gradually opens into vast, weightless atmospheres. It evokes the feeling of drifting beyond the physical, where sound becomes a vessel for introspection and exploration. As the title track, it encapsulates the essence of the EP: cosmic travel grounded in emotional depth.

After a strong run of releases on Secret Fusion, Nothing Is Real, and Sprechen earlier this year,NYC-based producer Evan Michael now lands on HIFI/LOFI Records with his Modern Life EP — a forward-thinking five-track journey that drifts from dreamy house to cosmic indie dance, with subtle shades of melancholy woven throughout. Having spent the past decade deeply immersed in New York’s nightlife, Evan has supported many of the city’s most vital independent clubs while absorbing their eclectic soundscapes. That
experience has sharpened his ear for house and techno — a sensibility he now channels into productions that move seamlessly between retroism and futurism, all in his uniquely personal way. The release is elevated by standout remixes from trailblazer Maruwa, a Robert Johnson club resident whose rising profile spans releases on Steel City Dance Discs and X‐Kalay, delivering a
deeper, more minimalistic, and irresistibly groovy reinterpretation of the original. Meanwhile,acclaimed producer Le Chev — trusted studio collaborator of LP Giobbi and co‐writer/producer for artists like Fischerspooner, SOFI TUKKER, Jake Shears, and more — brings a bold injection of deep house and melodic progressive grandeur, flirting with Organic House undertones to expand Evan’s vision.

Lost & Found in House Music

Emerging from the heart of the 90s house and techno era in Poland, the love for electronic music sparked early—at 12 years old, staying up late for midnight DJ sets on the radio and first coverage of legendary raves on VIVA. Soon, it became an obsession: recording mixtapes, videos, playing them over and over, and diving deep into the grooves of Deep House, Chicago House, and Detroit Electro. In 1996 he began shaping his DJ skills on a Vinyl setup and bringing sounds to the dancefloors until 2003 - fully enjoying and living the club culture back then. 

After a break of more than 20 years, he rediscovered his passion for DJing and electronic music. Nowadays rooted in his hometown Bern, the journey continues with endless DJ sets loved by his “Nachbarn” — growing gradually more public. He truly enjoys reconnecting with the scene and today's electronic music culture - recently joining the @lagooon_ofc crew with his performance @peterflamingo.

Sabo's record label Sol Selectas presents a release by GEØVHÄN, which has percussive grooves and organic sounds.
GEØVHÄN is back on Sol Selectas with a solo release after contributing music to two of the imprint's compilations. He is a multi-instrumentalist whose electronic music often utilises live instruments to create intricate grooves fuelled by enchanting melodies.
A free spirit who refuses to be pigeonholed, GEØVHÄN weaves elements from different genres to create sonic tapestries, fusing influences ranging from Afro house to indie dance.
Based in Argentina, GEØVHÄN is a skilled DJ and live performer who has shared the stage with artists such as Ben Bohmer, Nick Warren, and Eelke Kleijn. He has also released music on other prestigious record labels, including DAYS like NIGHTS, Akbal Music, and Rebellion der Traumer.
The opening track, "Takita" has shuffling percussion and rising synth chords intertwining with African vocal phrases.
Next, "Tabla" is a percussive track with Afro rhythms and melodic synths underpinned by a deep bassline. Claps and atmospheric vocals add to the groove's upbeat energy.
"Timbu" closes the release with rubbery synth stabs and rippling pads, layered with rave sirens, and the soothing tones of a trippy vocal.
The artwork by Helia Jamali visually fuses the EP's psychedelic elements with a playful and stripped-back elegance, which is a perfect reflection of GEØVHÄN's sound.

This compilation is a tribute to the children who have lost —and continue to lose— their lives to war, hunger, poverty, and inequality. It is also a gesture of gratitude: while some of us are able to live our childhood dreams, millions of children will never have that chance.

The project began with an original track by Bodaishin & Lupe Republic, composed more than two years ago. Eight artists from different corners of the world offered to reinterpret it, working with the same stems but translating them into unique emotions, processes, and perspectives. The result: 10 diverse interpretations, united by one message.

With the support of Proton, 100% of the profits from this compilation will be donated to Doctors Without Borders, directly contributing to their humanitarian work in the most affected areas.
