'S-21' is a baron, dynamic and haunting 23-minute soundscape recalling my personal experiences and emotions whilst visiting Tuol Sleng, or the S-21 prison in Phnom Penh. It uses field recordings I took there, and from Choueng EK, also known as The Killing Fields.

I assembled this piece around 3 years ago but never really knew what to do with it. Hopefully it can provide some insight to the chilling brutality that took place there, and serve as a reminder that human decency and respect for others cannot be taken for granted. It seems to be an increasingly precious commodity in today's society

All proceeds from any sales will be donated to The Cambodia Landmine Museum, another place I visited whilst in Cambodia. They do amazing work educating locals and tourists on the genocide and the effects the mass planting of land mines had, and still has on the country now. They support locals directly affected by landmines.

I would recommend listening on headphones, laying down in a dark room to get the most from it.

The artwork is a collection of photos taken of unnamed prisoners at Tuol Sleng.

"Recorded live in summer 2019 in the Berlin studio of Chris Jarman (aka Kamikaze Space Programme / Raiden) on a Soundcraft Spirit 'Studio' 24-8-6 mixing console, “Época Dub'd” is a slowed down, dubbed out and edited mixtape of tracks from Lakker's 2019 R&S album “Época” and their extensive back catalogue. The tracks have been rearranged and reconstructed, processed through classic delays and FX and stretched into new forms far from the original versions.

Inspired by dub mixing techniques, granular processes of stretching sound and DJ Screw's “chopped and screwed” mix concept, “Época Dub'd” is a continuous mixtape in two parts spread over two sides of a limited hand numbered cassette, a journey exploring the arts of live remixing and sound design."

He is an Irish DJ and producer based in Dublin, Ireland. He's been with Monument since 2017, working as the Editor-in-chief since 2019. As a DJ, Conor OG's style ranges over a number of genres, moving through the deeper side of electronic music, focusing on dub influenced percussion, mind bending psychedelia and hard hitting dancefloor-driven beats. In 2021, Astral X Ray, a collaborative project with Irish producer Rain, will be released on EMOTEC, a Manchester based label.
