dgbt is the thirty-fourth guest of MISS DREAMZCAST, our weekly series celebrating the DJs we love as they grace us with the music that makes us smile and gets us dancing.

DGBT is a London-based sonic explorer whose musical journey began with violin, percussion, and guitar, but truly blossomed on the vibrant dance floors of London and Budapest.  He has been a dedicated spectator of Europe’s diverse music scenes, cultivating a unique sensitivity and approach to mixing. An active member of London’s queer community, DGBT’s musical approach is special and exciting, characterised by a fusion of deep, hypnotic, and groovy techno, enriched with psychedelic and trance elements. He transcends the typical “wow” factor, instead crafting an immersive experience through seamless, extended transitions that invite dancers to lose themselves in rhythm. In this way, his sets become the soundtrack to the connections and trance states that blossom on the dance floor. Despite being relatively new to the DJ scene, DGBT has already shared the stage with renowned artists like DVS1 and has performed in London at Sextou, Riposte, Symbiosis, and The Cause among others; and internationally in places such as Copenhagen, Kosovo, and Italy. He is also a co-founder of Mudder, a queer-driven trance party that blurs the lines between music, identity, and collective expression, offering an immersive, boundary-pushing space where participants can celebrate freedom and unity in a dreamlike, ever-evolving journey.

MUDDERCAST is an extension of London's MUDDER party, inviting artists to explore and experiment with the soundscapes where techno and trance collide. Curated by dgbt and babsko, MUDDER is rich in layered meanings. It begins with the primal elements of 'mother' and 'mud' – the source of all creation – blending into a sticky, murky substance. This fusion takes shape as a racehorse, a mudder, galloping effortlessly through the toughest terrains. In this twilight realm, we delve into the sensual and enchanting connection these genres can forge or the surreal paths they might tread together. Our featured artists conjure these spectral beats, crafting mixes that are both haunting and entrancing.

After a decade immersed in NYC’s rich underground scene - feeding on hardcore, industrial, melodic, groove, breakbeat, and psy techno - Copenhagen-based WE.LL delivers a razor-sharp, forward-driving psy set for the latest Mudder mix. This hour-long journey leans into hypnotic rolling grooves, where intricate sound design, textured atmospheres, and rhythmic artifacts collide with peak-time percussion. The result is a finely tuned exploration that glides between shadowy depths and radiant melodic highs.

The third guest of the Tanga podcast is travaspango! In this mix, travaspango blends the elements of Anatolia with modern and eastern sounds. His vision came together in berlin's rising party royal highness and he literally gave birth to this unique sound which you can't find anywhere. The uniqueness of the sound of the mix reflects how Anatolia contains different types of cultures and resonates all together and lives somehow. NURDANE (‘Particle of Light’)

This is for my mom, Nurdane, which literally means ‘particle of light’. This collage shows the infinite number of different musical and therefore soul colors that bridged me and my mom. So basically it is my musical white light. I think I cried a lifetime of tears in 24 hours to build this set. It felt like it is really true that the first day of my mom’s very early passing (been 7 months) was actually the first day of my life. 

And i have to put this here: Pir Sultan said (lyrics of the one of the songs in the collage):

NURDANE ('Particle of Light') - To my mama.

This is a recording from the last CUKR. The set took place from 5:30 to 7:30 in the early morning. It wasn’t a closing set, but I treated it a bit like one.

In my eyes and ears, this might be the best set I’ve ever played. I don’t even know why exactly, it’s nothing really special. It’s full of small mistakes, overcrowded at times. Maybe I’ve played dozens of better ones. But I got back to the things I’ve always loved. I stepped away from the expectations I’ve been putting on myself lately. I sometimes choose music more for the crowd than for myself. This time I promised to me I would play for myself first.

I returned to the style I’ve always loved the most – layered techno with longer, restless parts, no predictable buildups, and almost faint base drops. That’s what I’ve always loved and what I still look for in a set that pulls me in.

I don’t consider myself a DJ. I step into the booth only a few times a year, but I have the chance to be a resident at CUKR gatherings and play for thousands. It’s humbling and I’m very grateful that I can add my small part to this beautiful and pure platform.
