What you are about to experience is exclusive Georgian music. Georgia has long traditions in the polyphonic choir.  Georgian traditional music lies between two cultural worlds. The European and Asian. It is also very old and its roots go back to the pre-Christian era.
Despite the successive invasions of the Persian, Ottoman and Russian empires and Sovietization, it has managed to preserve its own characteristics. Georgian polyphonic singing was declared a masterpiece of intangible cultural heritage by UNESCO in 2001.
Polysang consists of a minimum of 3 voices - but it can also be up to 100 voices! Depending on which provinces the songs come from, they have different traditions, some has a tune with a deep drone, others with several melodies at the same time, some yodel, and some are accompanied by a "gudastviri" (bagpipe).

So - in these 60 minutes of music from Georgia, you will surely notice something special with the voices that originate in their ancient traditions. But you will also listen what the soviet censorship was trying to hold down during the 60' 70' and 80' - the rock music.
