Bliss & Ignorance

This is an experiment in using "found sound" to create a rhythmic, percussive backing track for a spoken word piece. Just to see what happens.
The percussion uses - among other sounds - banging my foot in the shower, scratching at my bedroom door, dropping keys and rifling through pages of a book. Literally, all home-made sounds (as in, sounds I made at home).

The Blue Hour

Earlier this year I put out an open call to creatives interested in contributing to a sound art collaboration for the Open Spaces Arts Festival at Abbotsford Convent, Melbourne. It could be anything: your voice, a sound, poetry, prose, singing, a musical composition … as long as it was related to the theme ‘constellations’. After receiving sound files by email, I mixed them together with my own original work to create a new piece of sound art. An Ordering of Chaos: Scorpio is part one of a suite of collaborative sound poems.
