T-Rav Bio:
T-Rav embraced dance music’s tasteful side long before the recent wave of DJs followed suit. Amid their recent rise in popularity, the Denver artist stands to gain quite a bit now that he’s come into his own.

With a sound suitable for nightclubs and desert parties alike, he has tapped into the heart and soul of the underground. His résumé speaks for itself. In addition to a longstanding residency at Beta Nightclub, he’s a mainstay of gatherings like Global Dance Festival, Decadence and Burning Man.

T-Rav (whose real name is Travis Cusack) originally hails from Upstate New York. He relocated along with his family to Denver at the age of 10, where he sang and learned to play the drums before discovering electronic music as a teenager. After graduating he won first place in Arapahoe Idol, a contest hosted by Arapahoe Community College.

His first exposure to DJ culture came courtesy of Chuck Williams A.K.A. Cognition, who would prove a central figure in his music career. They first performed together in 2005 with T-Rav emceeing as Cognition held it down behind the decks. Before long they evolved into a DJ duo, and they went on to land a Beta Nightclub residency in 2009. In the time since, they’ve played direct support for such artists as Paul Oakenfold, Roger Sanchez, Darude and Eric Prydz.

Both solo and alongside his partner, T-Rav has also played such Denver nightclubs as The Church, Club Vinyl and Bar Standard as well as venues like The Gothic Theatre and The Denver Coliseum. Among his early stomping grounds were after hours spots like SPA and 2AM, and he played such massives as Nation and Mastermind. He has also performed at Utah raves like Kandyland and Compound Sound in addition to sharing the stage with Richard Vission and Ferry Corsten at Salt Lake City venue The Great Saltair. As a solo act, he’s  opened up for the likes of Wolfgang Gartner, DJ Sneak, Feed Me, Green Velvet, Lee Burridge, Mat Zo, Tommy Lee and The Crystal Method over the course of his relationship with Beta.

As far as festivals are concerned, he has DJed at Colorado events like Global Dance Festival and Decadence in addition to all the Mile High editions of Electric Daisy Carnival. For five years in a row he has delivered numerous sets as transformational gathering Burning Man, as well the local Burning Man regional Apogea. The latter events have helped him solidify his signature style of progressive house, not to mention connecting him with invaluable industry contacts.
