Pure Gonzo Music, in association with Glen Cove After 3, recording space functions not only as a playground for us Pure Gonzo boys, but also as an after school program for aspiring musician teenagers of Glen Cove.  After just one and a half years into teaching our kids everything from DJ lessons with Nelly Jay, to playing instruments, to production and engineering with the most up to date music software and hardware; the kids finally have their first finished project.

Travis Troy, co-founder of Pure Gonzo Music, has gained a reputation amongst his followers for turning out venues with the newest and rarest in fresh and slamming grooves. Travis' musical experience and focus is all directed toward the movement of house. His heavy musical influences come together in his sets to create a vibe that is everywhere from underground percussive-driven beats to funky minimal tech-house. Travis' extensive musical knowledge and background make him a master of combining familiar elements of house and other types of music with newer tracks. He can typically be seen using three or more decks to accomplish this. Travis started out experimenting with different types of house in New York in 1996. Moving on to play deeper house while living in London during 1999-2000, Travis' musical consciousness and collection of music began to diversify and grow quickly. He brought his music to Italy in the summer of 2003 and landed spots in some of Southern Italy's hottest venues where he was invited to return in summers to come. Over the years Travis continued to spin for diverse crowds and venues and could be found behind the decks anywhere and everywhere, from raves to nightclubs, from NY venues to those spanning across North America and parts of Europe. More recently, Travis has teamed up publicly to DJ alongside his Pure Gonzo Music partner, Nelly Jay. Since working together has a DJ-duo, these Pure Gonzo Music boys have gained a reputation and have become known to rock NY hot spots. You can catch Travis' sets at Club Love on NYC's most banging sound system where he has become a regular. Although Travis tries to spread the word of house all over the world, he stays true to the origin of his underground sound...NYC.
