Piece for unaccompanied double bass about struggling and searching to make sense of the world (Composers words).  Contains some singing too!  I'm lucky I got to play it for him personally before performing his piece.  It really helped to properly understand where he was coming from.

Songwriter and Seattle Symphony bassist Travis Gore leads Feeds on Majesty. A group of talented multi-insrumentalists set out to bring elements of bluegrass, folk, psychedelia, and contemporary classical music to the modern band. Described by Seattle musicians as swampy, quirky, and picturesque- the band is made up of Travis Gore, Bryant Moore, Margaux LeSourd, and Rob Tucker.

Along with writing music for Feeds On Majesty, Travis is also an active studio musician playing on numerous soundtracks for film and gaming including Men Who Stare at Goats and Halo as well as being featured on recordings with renown local band Hey Marseilles, Bryan John Appleby, Mike Hamm's Cosmozoa and recently a contributing song writer and instrumentalist with Wall Of Ears (https://soundcloud.com/wall-of-ears).

Maintaining an active life of chamber music, Travis performs chamber music regularly with his colleagues in the Seattle Symphony as well as having performed with internationally recognized award winning groups The Parker Quartet and The St. Petersburg Quartet.
He maintains a passionate teaching schedule coaching private lessons and in local high schools as well as conservatories and music schools nationally and abroad.
