This Tune is old. I wrote it years ago and it is still dear to me. I posted it more for myself than any other reason. i don't even have one of my usual ramblings for it. here it is. hope you like it.

One of my favorite songs i ever wrote or was a part of. It's so much music over vocal, peaceful, like a dream. and then disaster awaits around every corner. ever feel like that? that's all there is, there isn't anymore....

Safe

i know that the right thing to do in music is to keep your meaning hidden and let the listener establish his or her own point or lack there of in any song. This track is unlike anything i have ever done and if you have listened to the rest of my stuff, i really tend not to confine myself to things like.....genres and "my sound is________". i go with the Justin Timerlake, yes you read correctly, school of thought. "is this cool and does it sound pretty good? well if i like it, then lets kick the tires and light the fires, i'm in!" obviously there are samples of other songs in the beginning that i manipulated a lot. credit to Mount Eden, Korn, and The king of pop for those. the end piece is my own composition. this whole track came about on a 17 second riff i played for no reason other than to see if my guitar was tuned. love it or hate it, i would certainly be honored to know either as long as it's your honest opinion. criticism and dislike don't phase me, everyone saying they love it sounds more scary than the occasional "dude, this blows". there is more meaning for me in this track than in almost all the others i have, and that's saying a lot since my whole common thread in all of the weird and not so weird music i do is the emotion of the moment. cant wait to hear what folks have to say, if they say anything at all. rock on clouders!

occasionally i post tracks like this that i know will be practically completely overlooked. that's no a knock on anyone, but wants to sit throught 14 minutes of guitar. but it has a lot of meaning to me which is whi it's here. everything i write and play always stems from the moment . from how i feel to what mood i'm in, the tie that binds is that everything comes from momentary situational emotion. listening to a track of mine will tell you exactly what was going on at that time. this is one of them. i felt like destroying something beautiful lol or creating it depending on your opinion. here it is

Just an absolutely beautiful but haunting melody. I have had it stuck in my head for so long that I thought this would be the only way to cure that. Turns out now it's forever stuck in my noggin. on repeat, over and over. but it's the kind of beautiful redundant tone that just never gets old. sometimes a simple little melody can evoe a feeling or obsession....its like magic. dont believe me? watch "Fallen", "jaws" Star Wars" or ?stir of echoes"

I do this nearly every day. Just go out in the garage and play my acoustic and record with my phone whatever happens to come out. Sometimes I'll throw a little effect or clean it up afterwards, most of the time it's just what it is. But these are a couple of my favorites and I thought I'd share them with the Cloud. This is a tune I'm particularly proud of because I simply stepped out of my zone. I worked in completely uncharted territory and from beginning to end i felt it just gets cooler and cooler. It ends as a completely different song than it started, and listening to it again you almost realize you forgot that this is how it started the first time you listen. I just simply had lots of fun with it. Lots of hidden symbology and meaning here and there, like I like to do. hope you likes!

Everybody Pray Sell Lord!

This is one of those little things I am fond of doing. Putting down a nice musical track and then telling a story without using my voice at all. It's challenging and just really keeps the mind sharp. My goal is always to use the random clips to, when the song is over, give the listener a story to think about. whatever you may interpret that story as, that part is up to you.

I.M.Unbreakable

I started working on this song on Superbowl Sunday, like almost 5 months ago. It may not be right up everyones alley so to speak, especially with the direction i went with the vocals. i wanted them to be mine, but have a sort of machine-like attitude. It's my way of describing the transition from a mindless social robot to an actual individual human being. While that road is usually less traveled, infinitely more criticized, misunderstood and usually frowned upon because it doesn't meet most of the social acceptable standards, it just so happens to meet mine. And I'm the only person I really need to worry about as far as approval goes. Everyone out there: What the world thinks of you and what may happen to you good or bad, as long as you stay true to who and what you are and don't compromise your values no matter what they may be, you too, will be unbreakable.

I.M.U.nbreakable (The Beat Dragons - Weapyn X & L Bone Capone)

This song is one of those, if this makes sense, happy accidents that started off as one thing, and ended up as something i really liked. Looking back through all of my tracks, and listening to some from 2 years ago, 1 year ago, I've come to learn 3 things. 
1.) there really just might not be anything else that will ever gain as much diligence, effort, patience, passion and dedication from me as making music does. I happen to be one of those people that will admit openly, "yea, I love my music. I'm my biggest fan, I'm amazed at what i've taught myself to do, and if a song receives highest praise or most harsh criticism they both achieve the same goal, they continue to guide me towards improving at what i do. And some songs, Even if the votes were unanimous that this song or that song is the worst in history, I still love them. they let me know i'm not without passion, just without payoff so far. 
2.) I've slowly sort of honed my wild child all over the place sound and funneled it into two containers, the live instrument side and the, for lack of a better term, "laptop digi-rock" like this track. 
3.) and finally, as much as I feel tracks have improved from the producer side, and as much as i feel i've continued to learn and develop and grow, I'm only scratching the surface of actually knowing what i'm doing on this side of the mixer

The King of Karate

I'm by nature and first love a guitar player and singer. I write the songs and play them, record them, mix them, that way if it sounds like garbage, hey, I'm the only one to blame. I still get a lot of feedback, input, and individual tracks from my brother Lance, or L Bone Capone. He's on here. check him out. He'll play a bass line or guitar riff for me here and there and gives me a lot of direction when i'm composing. My interests include everything that doesn't start with a C and end in OUNTRY. As you can see from listening to my tracks (thank to all who do, please leave feedback. Sometimes it's not so bad hearing "this track totally blows"). We all want to be the best we can and it does no one with skills any good to be complimented on something they did that's just not very good. Criticism is what makes us grow, compliments let us know we have. Update 10/16/2012  I just wanted to say that as awesome as I am....I'm just totally kidding. What I really wanted to share is that I had a listen to all the music I've ever posted and while my compositions are nowhere near perfect or even acceptable to some, with all the support and feedback I receive on tracks I really need it on, I feel that over the last 2 years I have grown so much as a musician in general. The cloud is like, truly a family. I've learned so much from everyone, especially a few key players. Just, thanks. As musicians whether we're new at it, not good, incredible or other we all have a few things in common, for most of us it's why we're alive. I have a theory. We musicians who in our own way are able to release have an easily taken for granted gift. We are the way we are because we are empathetic to the world not just as it relates to us but how everything relates to everything. I feel pain and anger and happiness just by witnessing something that has nothing to do with me. We who are so sensitive and prone to be affected and even overwhelmed by emotion have a gift that others do not. We are able to purge the sensation overload through our creative sonic expressions. I never write lyrics down. I just sing. Every song with a date next to it will tell you exactly how I felt and what was going on in my life at the moment I wrote it. It's an audible snapshot, but better, because music unlike pictures, can instill feelings. I can make you smile if you're angry, and vice versa. All near breaking suicidal moments are curable with the right song....like don't stop believing by journey. Greatest song ever written. I didn't say best, I said greatest. You find me one person who will change the station as opposed to turning it up and belting out those hope inspiring lyrics :-) thanks soundcloud. You're my favorite place to be, head in the clouds
