A song I wrote while walking through an affair and divorce. The first verse is written from my perspective, and the rest of the verse, chorus, and bridge are written from Jesus’ perspective.

Surrender

July 14th, 2018 marks the 10 year mark for when my mom passed away due to cancer. I wrote this song as if I was talking to her.

Dear Mom, it's been a while.
Ten years. You've been on my mind.
If you could see me what would you say?
Would you be proud would of the man you raised?

You were there on my wedding day,
But you attended in a frame.
I swear I saw you in Dad’s eyes,

I wrote this song about my Mom. She passed away July 14th, 2008 of colon cancer. I pray it helps anyone dealing with loss.

The majority of my songs are dedicated to my mother, Connie Lehman. After a 4 year struggle with cancer she left this earth on July 14th, 2008. Since then every time I try to write things, it ends up being about her. My mission with my music is to empathize with anyone else who is coping or has coped with a tremendous loss.
