Out of pain and into the light. Puffy eyes and all I tried to articulate my feelings through sound. We had planned to do this interview some weeks before and then Frankie made his transition. I didn't know how I would present myself after not having proper rest for a few days. It was making a composition on my laptop to express myself that helped start me to come to peace in my mind.

Heaven Knows is dedicated to Alinka’s favourite club in the world ∄ (K41) in Kyiv where she was just made a resident. In traveling to play for the club’s fundraiser nights throughout the war, the Kyiv-born producer has found a home within the walls of the legendary club, while providing a welcome escape for the Ukrainian clubbing community. Heaven Knows sets the scene for this escape, with its groovy, deep synths juxtaposed with vocal cuts of “angel” and “heaven is a dance floor”. It’s an invitation to get lost.

Heaven Knows was inspired by my favorite club ∄ in Kyiv (aka K41), where I’m now a resident. Specifically the Backyard, which I always said is like our utopia, and for me the perfect dance floor. I always joked that for me hell is an airport and heaven is a dance floor. It’s where I feel the happiest, and it’s a spiritual experience when it all connects at the right moment, like a piece of heaven on earth.

Polish DJ/producer Ketiov, widely known as one half of the internationally acclaimed House duo Catz 'n Dogz and co-founder of CARBS imprint, continues to carve out his solo path under the Ketiov moniker. Following his 'Rhythm Trainx Vol. 4' via Gerd Janson and Thorsten Scheu's Running Back, he now links up with good friend, United Colours of Rhythm founder and CARBS resident, Fernanda Arrau - a Chilean DJ championing boundary-pushing and diverse sounds. Beyond her curatorial work, Fernanda's productions have garnered widespread acclaim, with releases on respected labels such as Permanent Vacation, Shall Not Fade, Pets Recordings, and more.

Joining forces on Step Recordings, the pair unite for 'Sin Prisa', a classy, organic groove-led single with rhythmic textures and dub-like essences, before Edvvin's remix reimagines the cut with a loaded, punchy remix oozing infectious energy.

Ketiov, one half of Catz ‘n Dogz, teams up with fellow Polish artist Edvinn for the ‘10 Hours Extravaganza’ EP, marking the tenth release for Radio Slave’s REK’D, landing 15th August 2025.

The pair open with ‘Extravaganza’, a cut that taps into the foundations of Classic House with a spoken-word vocal that feels lifted from a vintage Chicago record. Buoyant drums roll underneath as warm chord vamps bring soul to the groove until a soaring female vocal breaks through, lifting the track into full-blown rapture.

Up next, ‘10 Hours’ ramps up the intensity, its tension building through sharp filtering before unleashing a turbo-charged House groove with full-throttle synths, jacking percussion, and vocal stabs designed to push the energy to the limit.

As one half of Catz ‘n Dogz, Ketiov has shaped global dance floors and contributed to his own co-founded Pets Recordings and its oﬀshoot, Step Recordings, alongside labels like Radio Slave’s flagship Rekids imprint, Defected, and plenty more labels.

As a solo artist, he delves deeper into House for the ‘10 Hours Extravaganza’ EP, linking up with Edvinn, a Warsaw-based DJ and producer whose sound blends 90s and 00s house and techno influences with a strong percussive focus, having released on outlets such as Planet Rhythm, Frenzy Recordings, and Step Recs.

London-based artist Hilit Kolet returns to Rekids, collaborating with New York’s The Illustrous Blacks, the project formed by Manchildblack and Monstah Black, for the ‘Transatlantic Kiki’ EP, landing 29th August 2025 via Radio Slave’s Rekids. Legendary father-daughter duo Floorplan remix the single, with the release following up Kolet’s 2024 ‘Snap Talk’ EP, which won support from artists like Dam Swindle, Chloé Caillet, Bradley Zero, and more.

With lyrics that connect London and New York, ‘Transatlantic Kiki’ is a tough, funk-fueled roller true to Hilit Kolet’s signature production style, infused with an unmatchable personality via The Illustrous Blacks’ playful, vogue-like vocals. It’s hypnotic, bold, and irresistible, with the pair supplying a loopy ‘First Class’ mix that introduces vocal elements not featured in the original, amplifying the track’s qualities to hit even harder, and works the dancefloor into a sweat.

Robert and Lyric Hood, known together as Floorplan, remix Hilit Kolet & The Illustrous Blacks’ ‘Transatlantic Kiki’. Equally infectious as the original, they transform its rhythm into a drummy late-night cut. Stabs and vocal chops ride the groove, culminating in a proper lose-yourself-in-the-dance House cut that also comes with an instrumental version.

London’s Hilit Kolet came up through the former Soho Black Market Records shop, and has since become synonymous with the city’s House scene via releases on Defected, Snatch!, Domino, and Rekids, with a #1 debut on Music Week’s Upfront Club Chart and support from BBC Radio 1, Jamie Jones, HAAi, Skream, and more. Austria’s Uncertain arrives on Rekids' REK’D label for the first time with the ‘Nasty House’ EP 19th September 2025. He follows up his 2024 ‘Praise’ album on the Techno-focused RSPX sibling label, alongside several EPs since his debut in 2022.

For ‘Nasty House’, he turns the clock back to his 90s House roots, before his signature, drummy Techno sounds as Boriqua Tribez in the 2000s and later Uncertain project.

‘Nasty’ is up first, a tough beat underpinning deep, swishing synths which thread along the bassline while classic House elements subtly rear their head throughout.

‘Push’ continues, slightly more jacking, but equally classy, fusing lush chords with expert, old-school sampling.

Active since 1989 as Boriqua Tribez and known as Uncertain since 2018, he has made a name for himself with diverse productions that have made him one of Beatport’s top-selling Techno artists, while his fast-paced three-deck mixing and dancefloor storytelling fuel his tours abroad. Across the last three decades, he’s worked on countless releases on labels like Truncate, Beard Man, Illegal Alien, and Mind Medizin.

Matt Edwards launched REK’D in October 2024 to release no-nonsense House music without the limitations of parent label Rekids. It has released dancefloor-ready EPs from artists such as St. David, DCLVIII OFC, James Juke, James Curd, Ketiov, and more.
