Peace! I am Traygod tha MC, native-born Austinite, true school hiphop recording and performing artist and MC. I've been recording and performing in Austin for over 30 years. Getting my start, like most from the golden era, in school gyms and cafeterias, talent shows , parks , and house parties in the late 80s. Since then,  I've had the opportunity to perform with many, many great artists and musicians, local, national, and internationally-known. I was a part of a short-lived local Austin group called Modest Pawns with D.O.N. and producer, Jason Craze. We released a self-titled e.p., Modest Pawns, on cassette. Then formed Sockeye with myself, Jason Craze, and Hakim Tafari. With whom, we recorded 2 strong demos and performed countless shows all over downtown Austin from 1992-1995. Along the way, I learned how to create soundscapes on the ASR-10, which introduced me to the world of production. From Sockeye, X Factor was formed along with my brothas, Hakim Tafari and D.J. S.O.O.P.With whom, I produced, recorded and performed for 4 years. I started performing, producing and recording as a solo artist in 1999. I have also recorded and performed with the Dark World Clerics along with Global74 and Cooley Fly. During my time on stage, I have had opportunities to open up for a laundry list of hiphop luminaries including: Slick Rick, Big Pun, Cappadonna, Smif-N-Wessun, Too Short, The Gravediggaz, The Roots,  Method Man, and GZA, just to name a few. I was a member of the infamous Hip Hop Humpday crew at the Mercury(renamed The Parish) for 3 1/2 years. Rocked with Grooveline Horns, 512 Hiphop legends MC Overlord and Tee Double as a member of BoomboxATX, a group fully staffed with music luminaries. We held down a 8-year residency in Austin Tx every Tuesday night. I currently have 4 albums completed and working on my 5th banga. Plug in. Hope you enjoy these selections. If so, spread the word.
