Earlier this morning I find out a dear friend had passed away.

Marko Stoyanof

Lifelong Memories of me playing at SpyBar and him walking up to me saying "play my track bro". It was a house remix of Erotic City by Prince and if I think about it now it would always be the track to take SpyBar to the next level.

The many times me and Penny attending family gatherings at his and Lindy's place or at Tania Stoyanof s place or Johnny's he was not only the Commander In Chief of his Whanau but was also the one that made sure everyone there was ok and had a drink a Stoyanof trait. 

The time he got me to play at Kaine Stoyanof  birthday on Sale St where I played with Zayn Kemp another lifelong memory. 

Then there was the time I played for him and Lindys 50th at Pauanui Golf Club.

Tania calls me and says "Phil! For Marko's birthday I want to do a Birthday DJ Set for him. Can you teach me?" I reply "Ok".

So in the weeks prior to the night Tania pops over to Glasgow Terrace in Grafton and we start preparing her Birthday DJ Set.

The day arrives and it's a stunning day Family and Friends of Marko and Lindy are there then I press record....

In the 2 Parts this being Part 1 is me playing Uncle Harry jumping on the Microphone singing over a track by legendary Samoan Band the 5 Stars Tania's Son a very young Gair jamming with me.

Then Tania goes on.

What transpired was Tania exceeding my expectations and playing a Set that rocked the Pauanui Golf Club to its foundation.

She slams on The Bus Stop by Charlie Green and the whole Stoyanof Family and Friends are doing The Bus Stop to the Beat and in Unison and leading from the front is the co Birthday Boy Commander In Chief and his Lady, Best Friend and Soulmate Lindy....and even though how beautiful I'm writing this you really had to be there in person to witness the absolute 💚 that was in that room.

Then we all go back to the Stoyanof Home and carry on and there's the Commander In Chief snoring his ass off.

I would like to give my deepest Condolences to Lindy, the kids and the Stoyanof Family alongside my heartfelt gratitude and thanks for having me and Penny be a part of so many good times.
