Костя Kokokei @kokokei является сооснователем лейбла «Местность» @mestnost-records. Для него контекст – такая же часть замысла любой музыкальной работы, как авторский взгляд, набор семплов и синтезаторов, используемых при записи. Костя глубоко погружен в работу со звуком, он сводит и мастерит большинство релизов, выходящих на «Местности», а также продюсирует работы разных артистов.

Звучание Kokokei – это интеллектуальная электроника с тегами IDM, lo-fi, trip-hop, post-balearic и ambient. Его треки подходят как для домашнего прослушивания, так и для больших открытых пространств. Релизы музыканта получают хорошую критику и попадают в
сеты таких мэтров, как Vladimir Ivkovic. 

На Дабро уикенде Kokokei отыграет лайвом треки с вышедшего на «Местности» релиза «Mandarin» и материал, готовящийся к выходу в скором времени.

Kostya Kokokei @kokokei is the co-founder of the label “Mestnost” @mestnost-records. For him, context is just as much a part of any musical work as the author’s vision, the selection of samples, and the synthesizers used in recording. Kostya is deeply immersed in working with sound — he mixes and masters most of the releases coming out on “Mestnost”, as well as producing works by various artists.

The sound of Kokokei is intellectual electronics tagged with IDM, lo-fi, trip-hop, post-balearic, and ambient. His tracks are equally fitting for home listening and for large open spaces. His releases receive positive critical feedback and make their way into the sets of masters such as Vladimir Ivkovic.

At Dub Raw Weekend, Kokokei will perform live tracks from his release “Mandarin” on “Mestnost”, as well as material soon to be released.

Rise

The second release by Berlin based Knuggles Recordings is out since the 21st of December 2011. It features the previously unreleased Original 12" Mix of "7107 Music" by Netto Houz. This hybrid of Chicago Deep House and Oldschool Electro caused some dancefloor action back in 1998, when it was originally released on Ladomat 2000. 

On the flipside, Knuggles Recordings presents a new exciting producer: DJ Nikolaos aka MOIRE PATTERNS spins his track "The Roots Anthems 001" (co-produced by DJ Kriton) into a modern and spherical growing Deep House bomb. Enjoy!

“This EP was made after I realised that what inspired me most was to combine my love of electronic music with the music I enjoy outside of the club. I decided to collaborate with friends from a couple of my favourite bands, including Fay Milton (Savages) who provides live drums on Motorik Bush Doof Musik and Taigen Kawabe (Bo Ningen) who performs on I Never Cared That Much For Jungle. For me, having live instrumentation on the EP adds an extra depth to the tracks & has given me a vision of how to I’d like future releases to sound.
My fave track off the EP, Growing Up With Muscle Cars, is an homage to my step dad who repairs and restores old muscle cars. He also used to take me to the drags in my hometown when I was little. We would push the race cars out onto the track. Some of my favourite memz as a lil kid.”
