Cutting Shapes started on NYE as a set and I finally recorded it at 30000ft travelling north over the western deserts of Western Australia on my way to work(see photo).  While looking out the window, I pondered the dunes and lakes and all the creatures.  Shapes started to appear everywhere. Goannas, birds, faces of the old people carved out of the ancient land by wind rain and heat.  Playing these tune matched the shifts and changes in the landscape as we flew.  I had finished the recording by the time I landed with a moment to spare... into the heat.  I'll leave the town of Broome tomorrow and head out into the flooded desert wilderness with traditional owners.  We are in search of these shapes in their living forms.  Life is great.  I dedicate this mix with love to my baby girl - Aquilla.  Fly high with your feet on the ground my little eagle.

Hyper-Tribe Bass Mix

I recently cycled my bicycle the long way around Iceland. A 2 month solo  journey. In the front handlebar bag I carried a small blue tooth speaker and my music.  The wilderness invited me in and looked after me all the way round.  I was shown a beautiful path.  Towards the end I visited an area called Landmannalaugar.  There on a magical trip I found a huge shard of Black obsidian (volcanic glass) stuck into the ground, snapped off.  It was noon and its shadow faced north.  With these tunes in my ears I felt like the centre of the earth was reaching up to me.  I felt connected to all the ancestors that had stood feeling the same connection.
