Unlike my other posts, where I have been laying loops, for this track, I programmed all the drums.

So why did I call this track malware invasion? It’s the first thought that comes to mind when I think of that opening synth riff layered on top of a rock organ and the galloping heavy rock guitar riff in the pre-chorus. Hope you like it. Love to hear some comments and if there’s a great singer out there who wants to take a stab at writing some lyrics, you know how to reach me.

I plugged in my Telecaster and started playing and this is what I came up with: Something that sounds slightly behind the beat, but still sounding great. I could play against this groove for hours and not get tired of it

We Can Take This Love Higher started as an instrumental in the summer of 2023, with bass, and drums, composed on #GarageBand, first on an iPhone, then some work on an iPad before finalizing it on GarageBand and Logic Pro using a Mac Studio . 

I composed the track as a backing track to promote my #blusey #guitar playing.
And then earlier this year, I stumbled across a vocal sample, from my #LANDR subscription and another from my #Apple subscription. 

Using vocal mashups is not something that would have been on my radar even a year ago. With this song, I think it works. What do you think?
