Here are two tracks I made earlier this year and have been playing out for a while that I want to share.

Be With Dub is a sub bass workout I recorded live on the TR-8S and then spiced up a bit in Ableton. It captures some of the way 2024 has felt - woozy, fractured, thundering, world on fire but some how we still lock in despite everything collapsing around us. This track owes a lot to my love for early UK dubstep, especially Mala and Loefah.

Hold On emerges from somewhere in the vortex between deep house and trance, with alien languages fizzing around a core of chunky piano chords and thick bassline. It's very long, but nothing much changes, except everything is always changing. I feel like this would be a fun track to listen to on a long run.

We'd like to present to you all "Treee City - Cardioid" a.k.a. TC011. 

"The past is a living, tangible thing that everyone carries around with them, at every moment, and shapes into the future. There is a crossover point that we call the present, where we exist as awareness and choice, and this unimaginable point contains every possibility. In human beings this point is accessed via the heart. 

Cardioid is a track that was originally conceived in 2012 during a time when I was carless and struggling and mad at life and was trying to release and process that by obsessively making and listening to music whenever I wasn’t at work. After going through a few versions and revisions, this tune made its way in stem form into my live trigger set, but after playing it for a few crowds I still wasn’t satisfied with how it sounded so I changed up the sounds and mixing for this very special Top Cats release.
