Saraswati (Sanskrit: सरस्वती, IAST: Sarasvatī) is the Hindu goddess of knowledge, music, art, speech, wisdom, and learning. She is one of the Tridevi, along with the goddesses Lakshmi and Parvati.

The earliest known mention of Saraswati as a goddess is in the Rigveda. She has remained significant as a goddess from the Vedic period through the modern period of Hindu traditions. She is generally shown to have four arms, holding a book, a rosary, a water pot, and a musical instrument called the veena. Each of these items have a symbolic meaning in Hinduism.

In Hindu tradition, Saraswati has retained her significance as a goddess from the Vedic age up to the present day. In the Shanti Parva of the Hindu epic Mahabharata, Saraswati is called the mother of the Vedas, and later as the celestial creative symphony who appeared when Brahma created the universe. In Book 2 of Taittiriya Brahmana, she is called “the mother of eloquent speech and melodious music”. Saraswati is the active energy and power of Brahma. She is also mentioned in many minor Sanskrit publications such as Sarada Tilaka of 8th century

who sits reclined on a white lotus,
and from the crimson cusp of whose hands pours,
radiance on the implements of writing, and books produced by her favour.

Saraswati became a prominent deity in Buddhist iconography – the consort of Manjushri in 1st millennium CE. In some instances such as in the Sadhanamala of Buddhist pantheon, she has been symbolically represented similar to regional Hindu iconography, but unlike the more well-known depictions of Saraswati. Since the veena is attributed to Saraswati, the Hindu goddess of music and learning through an uninterrupted sequence of ragas.

The concept of Saraswati migrated from India, through China to Japan, where she appears as Benzaiten (弁財天). Worship of Benzaiten arrived in Japan during the 6th through 8th centuries. She is often depicted holding a biwa, a traditional Japanese lute musical instrument. She is enshrined on numerous locations throughout Japan such as the Kamakura's Zeniarai Benzaiten Ugafuku Shrine or Nagoya's Kawahara Shrine the three biggest shrines in Japan in her honour are at the Enoshima Island in Sagami Bay, the Chikubu Island in Lake Biwa, and the Itsukushima Island in Seto Inland Sea.

BMSS Records proudly presents "The Research", the second full length album by Canadian maestro Narko. As the title suggests, the album is the product of 2 years of intense experimentation, tweaking and fine-tuning in the studio: a quasi-scientific process and enlightening spiritual odyssey all at once! The resulting 7 tracks paint a multicoloured psychedelic soundscape that is at once rich, deep, musical and mature.

From the outset, Narko engages the listener with a subliminal synth-based intro worthy of an operatic magnus opus. Backed with face-melting syncopated basslines, cavernous FX, and modulated FM synths, the album means business from the get go. At times almost operatic, at others driving and moody - and held together by outstanding production and meticulous attention to detail - the album immerses the listener on a multi-faceted and mind-warping journey from Full On into Psytrance. 

"From Above Or Below", a collaboration with Virtual Light, is an absolute dance floor bomb. With "The Space Tribute", Narko delivers a heartfelt and suitably blasting tribute to the late Olli Wisdom aka Space Tribe. Concluding with the relentless "The Results", the album comes full circle and is brought to a satisfyingly psychedelic culmination.

The magnum opus has been appropriately completed with the finest analogue mastering courtesy of Plus Six Mastering and epic artwork from outstanding psychedelic designer Sati.

This really is the ultimate 1-hour psychedelic trip - the Narko way!

Kostas Daikos is the person behind the Greek project E-Mov.
His interest in electronic music production started during his student years which he spent mostly in the UK. With the experience he already had from many years of musical studies and as a performing guitar player in various bands, he started composing various styles from lounge to drum’n’bass, over ambient to psychedelic. In 2003 E-Mov was formed, aiming mostly in creating a blend of psychedelic and progressive music, largely influenced by ethnic and tribal elements. Guitars, male and female vocals and percussions were ingeniously incorporated. Since 2013 E-Mov joined Belgian label Dacru Records.

Dacru Records is a Belgian psytrance label. The label boosts a strong selection of artists, from major names with a 20 year career under the belt to younger promising talents. The rosters includes names like U-Recken, Talamasca, DigiCult, Spirit Architect, Tropical Bleyage, Bitkit, E-Mov, Electric Universe, Aquila, Overdrive, A-Tech, Transient Disorder and more. The aim is to release timeless music with a strong emphasis on the psychedelic and melodic.
Besides being a record label Dacru has also been making a name as event promoter with over 80 events since 2001, that’s a whole of a lot of experience that goes into organizing quality productions. The events have taken place all over Belgium, from The Netherlands to Germany and even in exotic places as Thailand and include big and small indoor events, open air festivals, bus trips, 11 day pop up clubs and more. Some of the party lines include Organic Dreams, Tribal Roots, After Sunrise and Nova’s Incident open air.
