I’m just a simple man, living day to day in this world. Dealing with everyday problems and using my music to express my feelings. I don’t care much if the music sounds “good”, as long as my message is true and heard, and off of my chest. It’s not about me and my feelings, but it’s also not about fame, successes and making music for millions to enjoy. It’s about expressing our feelings, problems, common interests, goals, hopes and dreams, the obstacles we hurdle everyday, the fact we that we just keep moving forwards through the adversity, and everything in between. My musical interests isn’t driven by success, but by camaraderie, to unite people despite their differences through the one thing we all go through, pain and everyday bullshit. I was born in Bloomington Indiana in 1998, I spent a big portion of my childhood on a cotton and gourd farm in Mississippi where my 9 aunts and uncles lived with all my cousins in homes they build by hand. They were almost all truckers and most still are. On My dads side, my grandpa was a blue collar, hardworking farmer and trucker who lived through the Great Depression. His wife played piano for the church they went to for 30+ years until the day it got a sound system. On my moms side, my grandpa was a United States Marine who served two tours in Vietnam, stationed in Da Nang for one of them and near the Mekong for another, then was a police officer in Evansville Indiana for over 30 years until he passed away. My grandma used to be a nurse and then remarried an EMT. Together they started a cleaning business and raised me most of my life in Small town, Cornfed Indiana. Most of my life I was obese, 3 years ago at my heaviest I was 465lbs at 6’6, but I got up one day and I haven’t stopped since. I lost 260lbs is 21 months to join the Marine Corps and be a State Trooper/Deputy to make my grandfather proud, finally. After so little I’ve done with my life so far and what all I’ve thrown away. So finally, at 25, I took the initiative to move down to Georgia to be closer to Fort Moore (formerly Benning) and technically closer to Parris Island, in hopes of meeting people and making friends in that field to help motivate me on my journey and have someone to connect with. Indiana was just farmers and Meth, there was no good influence and so I left everything I knew behind and came here to host a campground and have been here since August 15th, sleeping in a tent on some rocks to pursue my dreams. I don’t know If any of my struggles can be put into words to unite anyone, but I know that I’d rather try and atleast put my feelings into words rather than do nothing to try to unite and connect with others and express myself. I thought myself Guitar at 11 after I saved up to buy my first one with my farming job, and that sent me down a musical path which was a big key to me actually finding out I have Aspergers after teaching myself piano, drums, ukulele, harmonica, banjo, bass, violin and mandolin in a few years all together. I’m self taught and not the best, I record on my phone only raw sound and emotion from me, and my instrument. I know how to use some low end, simple producing software like audacity and have a studio mic, but starting this musical journey in my tent, it’s going to be as real and raw as it gets. Despite how I may sound or play, any differences we may have and anything of the sort, I hope somehow that if nothing else my music can say the right words that others need to hear and can connect and unite as many people who need it as possible, despite the miles between me and each individual who chooses to listen to my music.
