This is on of the sickest mixes i've heard in a long time. Insane great music.

It wasn't Burning Man, but it certainly was a burn!  Crystal Groove made its second appearance on the playa of the Black Rock Desert, and I played an eclectic mix of tracks from all over the world and time. Some old favorites, new sounds and super fun surprises.

We have detected... PLANEMO! Every episode we hop aboard our spaceship and search the galaxy to discover fresh and exciting sounds for the people of earth...

This past November the stars collided to bring together Pelehon and GriffinGrrl on the decks. The atmosphere created was truly magical as these two ladies were connected by their love for deep and luscious sounds, but had not yet shared a dance floor. This set the stage for a beautiful night of musical storytelling. The energy in the room felt too infectious not to share, and since we weren’t recording, we decided to record and release our sets together for Planemo.

For the first hour tune in to the rhythms of GriffinGrrl. GriffinGrrl has been a fiery catalyst for creative collaborations since the 90s LA rave scene. With talents spanning from DJ, radio host, club co-founder, to current residencies held with Uniting Souls and LOST, GriffinGrrls magnetic energy continues to fuel countless amazing experiences. 

The second hour is curated by Pelehon, a Tremulant resident who began weaving stories through sound 3 years ago. Pelehon enjoys layering melodies and rhythms to provide a soundtrack to get lost in… believing that through music we can express and hear what speaks beyonds words.

Julie, Julie, Julie, what do we say about Julie??! How can we put into words the love we have for this seasoned house music vet, and convey the honor that it is to have her experience in our little corner at the Dusty Booty Ranch?
We’ve crushed on Julie in the Seattle house music scene for many years, and were stoked when she finally decided to join us on playa in 2017. Julie saddled up to the DBR with huge enthusiasm. Eager to explore, and seemingly mere minutes after her first arrival on playa, she rode off on an elevated sunset playa adventure with little more than our address and her cell phone. She and her phone were promptly lost. After hours of thinking “Oh, this street looks familiar, I must be going in the right direction” In BRC, LOL!!!) Julie heard the sweet familiar sounds of Wesley Holmes, which we were keeping on for her like an auditory light, helping her find her way back home.

He is a master strategist and problem solver who is an expert in close-quarter back to back mixing. The Admiral, as he’s affectionately called, pioneered the radical process of turning sound into useable energy. The hero of the battle of Ganymede against the dreaded Cyborg Noodles. Known as the Uniter of Callisto for negotiating the peace accord between the Techno Rompers and House Cybergrind. The Admiral possesses all of the cunning and willpower of a true hero. Today, the legend is still alive and being told everywhere from all corners of the solar system.

Wesley Holmes has been integral in the Northwest’s DJ & dance community for the past 25+ years. He was a part of a core group that pioneered the house music scene in Seattle and helped provide a foundation for the thriving dance scene that transpires in Seattle today through an extensive list of club/event productions, residencies, radio work, and behind the scenes efforts over the years. Wesley’s abilities behind the decks, musical depth, and outright love for underground music resonates through his infectious dj sets and mixes. Wesley’s current residencies with Flammable, Lost and Upper Left keep him both on the front edge of the underground and in front of some of the largest electronic music audiences in the NW.
