I don’t know if anyone else has noticed, but over the past year or so, the kids have started playing ska again. Tight jeans, straight hair and bland music are on their way out, making room for deep bass lines, blasting horns and (god willing) music with a bit of soul again! Reggae and ska aficionados have been strangely optimistic of late, about the new music being released, an optimism that hasn’t been seen since around circa 2003! 

I don’t know if anyone else noticed this, but we did.

Trench Foot Records is a brand new independent record label based in South Wales, boasting a roster of four of the best young bands on the reggae / ska / punk circuit today. Having scoured the nation for the best underground talent the UK has to offer, Trench Foot Records is finally ready to announce their roster of what they believe to be the new generation of reggae, ska and punk music.

On Saturday 26th February, The Globe in Cardiff will host the launch night of Trench Foot Records, featuring Captain Accident & The Disasters, Tyrannosaurus Alan and Tree House Fire. Tickets are available at just £4 in advance from The Globe. Reggae / ska music is back at the forefront of underground music, and Trench Foot Records is the start of something big.
