It was a sold-out show, the fog was flying (my first time ever playing with fog machines btw 👀), and the energy was wild.

This set means a lot. It’s Afro, Afro-tech, sexy vocals, fat basslines, and pure fun — exactly the kind of music that ignites my soul and gets the whole dance floor moving.

El Khatib is a Dutch Afro House producer and DJ of Moroccan heritage whose sound fuses traditional African rhythms, Arabic vocals and contemporary electronic production. His music delivers deep, percussive grooves shaped by melody, spirituality and cultural richness.

With more than two decades in the electronic music world, first as a club owner and later as a manager for top-tier artists, Hatim El Khatib eventually turned his focus toward his true passion: music production. Instead of releasing his work through existing labels, he created his own imprint, Makemba Music, which means “Freedom,” a space where art and music come together under his creative direction.

Today, El Khatib is emerging as one of the most promising new voices in the global Afro House landscape, steadily expanding his audience across Europe, the Middle East and beyond.
