Creation is Creation, out February 25th on Gravitas Recordings, is a philosophical inquiry regarding the alchemy of creativity. Inspired by nature, Somatoast makes use of the natural world to serve technical, musical purposes. Seeds pods make shakers and icicles are a percussive ensemble. This electro-acoustic fusion spans six original tracks and four remixes– marking another unique development in Somatoast’s ever-evolving sound.

Tapping in Boyd Hill introduces the album with its sweeping aural environments and grounding tapping that begins the story of Creation is Creation, which is that human creativity is the same force of all creation. The tapping heard in the track was recorded live in Boyd Hill Nature Preserve in St. Petersburg, Florida. Dawn embraces the texture of a seed shaker found in Zilker Park in Austin, Texas. By letting the naturally found sounds do the talking, Dawn comes off with a simplified yet refined sound design. Namesake of the album, Creation is Creation is a jazzy approach into the essence of this album. Featuring expansive atmospheres partnered with piano riffs and inspiring lyrics, Creation is Creation dives deep into exploration of the universe that resides all around us.

An organic reprieve in the middle of the album, Kokoa features distinct usage of primitive and empowering vocals before segwaying into Icicle that was inspired from the Texas Freeze in early 2021 with lush guitar lines, rippling breakdowns and grounding bass. Lastly, Ooh Yeah is an experimental glitchy departure from the rest of the album, highlighting resounding soundscapes underneath bouncing plucks. As a bonus, the album rounds out with remixes from Lapa, Edamame, Skysia and Kaya Project.

Today we present “Dreamscapes” - an audacious, adventurous collaboration from the minds of Heemo, fo1006 and Imaginary. Combining orchestral arrangements, boom bap drums, and ambient chords, this track emits the same curious, innocent nature of a Studio Ghibli film. The synergy between Heemo and fo’s original melodic ideas and imaginary’s drums and mixing incite incredible emotion, taking the listener on a two and a half minute long audio journey. The three rising talents have churned out a cinematic, playful, and hard hitting track. We’re really proud of this one and look forward to more music from Heemo, fo1006 and Imaginary soon!

We’re pleased to announce aprovoli and anbuu are back on Radio Juicy with a second collaboration track titled “Perspectives”. After the success of their first release the two producers were looking forward to getting together for another round! The track they came up with is an incredible blend of hip hop beats and modern electronic music. Chill melodies are coupled with futuristic sounds creating an emotional feeling. Hi, I am trent ivor. and this is my story.

During the last decade I mainly produced music under my Drum & Bass alter-ego @Wreckage-Machinery and this was fun. I released tracks on lots of labels and played in various clubs around the world and this was also fun. Through this time I had the privilege to make many close friends and met amazing and supportive fans - even though I am actually pretty introverted. 
However as the years went by I started to write more and more music, that has no real goal to be actually played in a club with flashing strobes. Wreckage Machinery was definitely a creative outlet to express myself even though being rather quiet in real life, but this new music I was starting to write was different, it came from a deeper level. It felt more.. myself perhaps. 
So slowly I had written enough music for almost 2 full albums that could not consitently come out under the name Wreckage Machinery, nor did it feel right. I actually wrote this new music mostly for myself, so should it be even released? Maybe not. But maybe it should. 
Let's flip a coin, Heads says put yourself out there, Tails says enjoy it alone. I enter 'coin flipping' into the Google search bar and use the virtual coin tossing widget that pops up.
