All instruments, drums and percussion were created entirely out of a recording of my son at 18 months saying "Ready steady gooooo". 

Crazy that you can get a kik and bass out of a babies voice!

Sun sea and stars

I love Derks use of bells on his tracks ( you have to check out his "trust the process" track for example) and I couldn't resist this 160bpm track he had released soundcloud.com/derk-bell/birdwatching

At 160bpm with a beautiful vibe, it was full of drum and bass promise. So here's my take on his track.

Birdwatching- Derk Bell- Trevphonic drum and bass Remix

this track started with me 'playing' ( a loose term as I'm not a pianist, fiddling might be a better term) on the piano alongside a drum track I'd just programmed. This really nice piano riff came up but I wasn't recording. Fortunately ableton has this thing where it always "listens" so i was able to press a button and it magically brought up what Id just played... phew!

This track was inspired after having a difficult week (but thats probably obvious). The original ideas were worked on by me and Jason from @tubbyisaiah in May 23. A huge thanks to him for his input.

How track was created- I cut up and played around with a vocal riff... the original vocal riff actually sings " you make my dreams come true " but by the time i finished with the vocal it ended up sounding like he was singing "up my street" ... perfect!!!!

You Got My Everything

This collaboration was born out of a desire by Diogo https://soundcloud.com/diogo-terror to create a track with a 'live', dynamic and improvised feel.

Diogo came up with the original song idea and arrangement of the track by playing in live the synth pad tweaking the notes and configs of the arpeggiator, distorted guitar and running bass line.

Trev then played in live drums using roland v-drums electronic kit to continue the live feel we wanted to create. Trev added some extra synth and lead melodies, ear candy, a little bit more fine tuning the arrangement and then mixed and mastered the track.

A Waking Dream


Is 'Bossa Nova Garage' a thing? Well it is now! 

I love creating emotive music that has "feel" and is melodic, I hope I've succeeded in giving you an emotive journey 😊

I only used the vocal stems from the original track. I used them creatively but sensitively for not only the main vocals, but to create new melodic hook lines (for example at 2 mins 30secs), some of the percussion and also creating instruments from them (guitars, horns etc). 

....not forgetting a guiro for good measure (it is bossa nova after all :))

Today's one (3rd January) was mostly finished in one day.... I got a bit immersed in it ( phew!)! My learning aim for this piece was using distortion ( you van hear it in the lead melodies. crackling away and creating ambience

This track is 70% complete- took most of the day!!! needs a bit of work ( some of the background and atmosphere sounds, need to be more up to date sounds but ran out of time) but good enough to make public- Ill complete it in February... I'm pleased with the wavetable saw bass that comes in from the intro and I modulate thru the track.. Love that tone

Hi! I'm Trevor, an electronic music producer based in Bristol, UK.

Firstly, I really enjoy listening to other artists here on soundcloud and I will always post a comment or like a track if I'm impressed but I prefer to be followed and "liked" only if you dig my music..... so there is NO OBLIGATION to listen or like any of my tracks😊

I've always been drawn to music, rhythm, melody and harmony. I learnt to play the accordian at age 12, but drums eventually became my main instrument and you will hear my love for groove and rhythmic syncopation in my songs.

I've been playing in bands since the age of 15 and started writing music in 1996 after being inspired by a close friend, who was a talented song writer.

My music is emotively driven. I create music as it's therapeutic and the language that allows me to express myself the most. 

I write what I'm feeling at the time so I have quite an eclectic bunch of songs from #deephouse, #triphop to #chill #downtempo #ambient @synthbased #vapourwave #futurefunk #deephouse

I am a home producer. I use ableton mostly.
