Exploration II (Fluctuations in the Field)

It is undeniable that we are living in uncertain times. For those of us failing to fit the patriarchal neoliberalist mould, we have lost hope in the future. We can see capitalism is not working but we cannot yet envisage an alternative. In a world where security is no longer feasible, the only constant we can rely on is change. Regardless of one’s point of reference, we can understand that every aspect of life, physical and mental is in flux and perhaps this transience is the only thing we can depend on.

This month we have invited @claradeasis to ruminate on these ideas and create an hour of relief from these (and other) anxieties. Clara is a composer and performer of contemporary experimental music. She develops an approach to sound that highlights simplicity, non-intervention and active listening as means of music making. Her works display an extreme precision and intuitive openness that involves a dedicated attention to sound on its details and its most pure forms. 
For this episode of Transience, Lou had the pleasure of hosting Clara at their home studio where they recorded the piece live.

Mixing ambient, downtempo, experimental and dub techno, his universe evolves among BPM & textures for the sole purpose of hypnotising the mind. He delivers in each work an introspective & esoteric electronic music, from seabeds to stationary orbits. 

After several years performing in Paris, the French DJ and producer is now based in Marseille. He released his first EP in 2018 on the Italian label Ovunqve.

Dernièrement Perdu et Retrouvé a été à l'affiche d'un évènement Venus Club à CIEL, d'un évènement PWFM à la prairie du canal et de la réouverture de la Machine du Moulin Rouge.

PREMIERE: Halos - Code 1 [Cellar Door]

Here is the 369th chapter of the Deep Electronics serie. Every two weeks the serie brings you a diversity into the abyss of deep electronic music. This week NAKANO BLU is behind the decks for this chapter. After releasing his ambient session last month now he created a mixture of break, techno, deep hypnotic rhythms and more. Different fluctuations but with a big touch of deepness. So enjoy!

About:
Amsterdam-based DJ and producer NAKANO BLU has entered the scene during the turbulent year of 2021, after changing his career as a drummer for dark electronic music. Being active for many years as a hip-hop producer and versatile session drummer, he decided to start a new project focused on the inspiring sounds of the Amsterdam club scene, where techno is king and there is a huge space for experimental DJs and producers to play their songs for a public that loves electronics experimentation. His first single released on Cologne-based label Urban Undergrounds was a more laid-back, fringe house track, but his production style quickly evolved into the IDM and lo-fi techno sounds of his first EP, Æ, released on the Berlin label Corresponding Positions, label of releases from techno legends like Umwelt or Templer followed by his second EP on label LXVIII including remixes by techno heavyweights Charlton, Irazu, Rita Maomenos and Douglas Cali. Following this evolution, NAKANO BLU progressed towards breakbeat productions and fast DJ sets containing an eclectic mix of techno, IDM and latin influenced electronics, defining their particular style of DJing and ready to tear up the dance floor of any club.
