For the ninteenth mix of the series , we have :- Paul Blackford is an electro / hip hop producer and beat maker. His first release on Breakin' Records in 2003 was described as a pioneering UK take on the electro bass sound. Since then Paul has released tracks regularly on various well respected labels and has crafted a unique downtempo, bass heavy sound that sits somewhere between hip hop, vaporwave and electro.

For more than an hour here Blackford blends a selection of his own produced grooves - so sit back and enjoy the Galactic journey across the synthetic cosmos of sound.

A monthly podcast that will explore the irresistibly captivating part of electronic music: the groove. The shows will be curated by Aleks BLC (they/them) a Polish-born, Copenhagen based DJ who’s been obsessed with electronic music since they were able to load up a Walkman with Vengaboys’s cassette tape. The series will primarily encompass the diverse sound of house music, occasionally interlacing elements from garage, breaks, deep tech, dub techno, and hard groove. It’ll be a 60-minute journey committed to the grooviest productions from the past and the present.

INVERNO (no pronouns) means winter in Portuguese, but their performances and productions are far from being cold and static.
Their multifaceted knowledge of music is reflected in their sets, which are enigmatic, genre-fluid and creative. As well as in their playful and genre-panning productions.
Eager to experiment and explore the full spectrum of Techno, INVERNO likes to blend boundaries between deep/hypnotic and hard/industrial Techno.
Having a natural understanding for groove and harmonies, they weave together tracks focusing on story-telling and rhythm.

On March 30th, 2024 Paul Birken made his second trip to Hamilton to bang about on his boxes of blinking lights and banging beats. Kevin and I first brought him over back in early 2017 and we had a hard time finding a venue for that show. That's why we opened Studio L14!

I'm away camping this weekend so am unable to stream a live Bleep Radio show as I usually do so in lieu of that, I presents Paul live-set with a back-up camera angle not seen on the Twitch stream. I'm also attaching a playlist that contains ALL of the sets this evening.
