I wrote a bunch of letters to me and I’m addressing all the songs to myself. As the third part of a trilogy, it was fitting that I dove inside for the finale. The first album, “Here”, was a targeted look at dwelling on the past and contemplating on what could have been, as where “Into the Mist” was a more general declaration my standing at the time - right out of high school, losing old friends and trying to hold onto my new friends before I went away. It was about my hesitations moving forward and having to let go of the past. This album, written all throughout and immediately after my freshman year at college, is about being where I was hesitant to go and saying “It all kinda worked out”. It’s an album for myself, by myself - a bunch of conversations with myself past, present, and future. Topics range from thinking about how 9 year old Trevor laying in a band was a full decade ago, scenes I’ve seen with my friends and the memories they made me recall, and a lot of looking in the mirror and trying to figure myself all out, you know? This is going to be my last album for a while.
