It IS about damn time!!! What can I say, the title of my solo debut is self-explanatory. I owe so much to those who pushed me to finally put this out and have continued to support and believe in me over the years. Thanks all y’all, you know who you are.

I dedicate this to both my Granddaddy Batts and my Dad; both have passed, but their influences - musically and spiritually, will forever be a part of me.

I'm a child of the 70's and 80s. Both my sound and writing style are heavily influenced by the artists of the era. Groovy, hooky, warm, familiar and a bit quirky. Think of what Sly Stone, Frank Zappa, and Kenny Loggins may have conjured up back in 74' after collectively consuming large quantities of malt liquor and Moon Pies.

A native Virginian, my influences are many and varied. Grandaddy Batts is the reason I do what I do. He was a jazz purist. While jazz was difficult for me to comprehend as a kid, I would find myself mesmerized every time he would pick up his guitar and play for me. At the time I really just wanted to be the next Jimi, but as I grew older and learned more about music I began to appreciate his mastery of more and more. 

After a lifetime pouring my soul into sounds, I know one thing, good music is good music, I hope to be part of that. It really is about time.
