I'm soooo excited to finally finish this mix. This is the 3rd part of my feel-good mixes series. I've been working on them since LAST SUMMER so I'm glad I had the time to finish it this year lmao and release it before summer is over.  I broke some "rules" on this mix at the end by mashing up 4 songs and having the vocals sing over each other (which is something I learned early on you're not supposed to do lol) but I LOVE how it sounds cuz it really brings up the energy and just feels like a fucking party! And tbh... I made this primarily for myself so idk if it's hella good or complete trash but I fucking love it haha. I hope you all like it too. If you do, please share it and leave a comment :)

I played this mix for Pastel's Summer Nights digital stream to raise money for Feeding America and Reclaim The Block. This is a special one for me because working on this set was very cathartic in the midst of everything that's been going on. I channeled a lot of the sadness I've been feeling lately during these times where so many people are suffering... but this mix also expresses some of my hopefulness that things will get better... that people are finally standing up together and refusing to let these injustices go on any longer.

Reclaim The Block is an organization from Minneapolis that advocates for city funds to be allocated towards things that actually make the community healthier and safer instead of more and more police. If you'd like to donate go here:

This mix series is my attempt to delve deep into some of my favorite artists to learn about their music style and career. 
Gryffin is one of my all-time favorites! I remember listening to his early remixes of popular songs and it's crazy to see how that propelled his career. It's inspiring to me that the guy is an engineer and before he became popular he was just making music because that was his passion. His story really resonates with me because I have no plans of making DJing my career and all the mixing and producing I do is purely out of love for music, though I like to imagine it's not impossible this thing I do as a hobby today could turn into something more in the future :)
