Ballad of the Salamander is a downtempo journey through three distinct acts. The track takes you on a laid-back, dreamlike adventure, where warm sub-basses and mellow shakers set the tone, creating a relaxed, lounge atmosphere. As you move through the song, the dancing basslines guide your steps like the path of a salamander navigating through a sun-drenched landscape. Marina Satti is undoubtedly one of the most impressive talents to come out of Greece - ever! An incredibly talented musician, songwriter, producer, performer and vocalist - her latest album P.O.P reached the Global Top Ten Album Charts last summer and her unique fusion of contemporary with traditional is making her music accessible to wider audiences. 

A little background on this remix…  

I was approached a few years ago by a media company in Athens - who also owned a record label - to help them promote a brand new artist they had just signed. Her self-made, one-shot phone camera video had already amassed a few hundred thousand views and they wanted to push her more. 

I had already paused my PR activities and was focusing more on music production so I suggested I remix the track instead and help them with a promo strategy with someone else implementing. 

By the time I finished my remix the music video for ‘Mantissa’ had 3 million + views and growing exponentially (now it’s at almost 60m)….larger conglomerates were coming into the game as this was clearly a massive talent

Long story short - the remix never saw the light of day as a new record company took over - I posted it only on Soundcloud and it gathered 30K plays with people asking when it’s coming out, where to buy etc etc

Finally a few weeks ago I sat down and mixed it again and remastered it so finally I’m putting up on Bandcamp and reposting the new master here on Soundcloud
