Kevin Garrett Sexy Project

Known as Break beat DJ Optimus Prime from 1996-2002, throughout the eastern seaboard, and well known for his specific tricky style of transitioning several tracks back and forth, Kevin Garrett or better known by his given alias Tribe; has been creating festivals, hosting venues, and fully participating in the Florida EDM scene since he was just 16 years old. Now, known for his unique Tribal infused House style throughout the bay area, Kevin is jumping back in the mix with both feet firmly planted! Kevin has played huge venues in New Jersey such as Club QV and the famous disco Stardust, and throughout the eastern seaboard. Kevin has flavored the ears of his Irish counterparts as well at Nothern Ireland’s Ulster Hall, The Carriag, Earth, and Sugar ( Derry Ireland). Kevin has held many local residencies at Liquid Blue, Boomerz, and Hosted Gaia Ybor, along with many others over his 16 year movement towards rhythmic ecstasy. 
With over 170 clubs and venues under his belt, his experience surely shows. In the beginning,   Kevin mentored under Florida Famous Dj Wikkid, and local scratch aficionado, Sean Task. Tribe is a regular on wmnf.org/ WMNF  88.5 fm radio and has been a giant supporter of his family at the station. Leading from a Tribal style influenced by Knob, and Funklab Records’ own Dj Apple, his friend and mentor has laid the inspiration in 2001 and Kevin has been a devoted fan, artist, and representative of Cultural and deep rooted house music ever since. The Tribe style is very unique to Tampa Bay and is inspiring to hear such deep influence from countries around the world, uniting on to his turntables, and flowing in a psychedelic impetus through the dance floor. One would need to expect, the unexpected with this Dj , His sets are filled with flow, soul, rhythm and ever changing with a seemingly perfect idea of what the floor didn’t know they wanted until …they got it! You really got to stick around for this soulful exploration of mind, and body!
