Patrick Topping unveils the second volume of his acclaimed V/A compilation series, ‘Trick Presents Lethal Bangers Vol. 2 (Part 1)’, landing on 6th June 2025 via his Trick imprint. Following the 2023 debut instalment, which picked up love from BBC Radio 1’s Sarah Story, Gorgon City, and A-Trak, this latest edition delivers another stacked line-up, welcoming back familiar faces Hyyken and Dyl Rooney, as well as a host of new names, including Sante Sansone, CASSIMM, Andre Espeut, Raynz (IT), Biesmans, Horatio, and GHSTGHSTGHST.

Founded in 2019, Trick has long been at the forefront of modern dance music, providing a home to an array of breakout talents and diverse sounds like Ben Hemsley, Hannah Laing, and Ewan McVicar. Hot on the heels of Part One, Patrick Topping announces ‘Trick Presents Lethal Bangers Vol. 2 (Part 2)’, out on 20th June 2025. With the first half of the V/A already found in the record bags of big names like Gorgon City, MEDUZA, and Tony Romera, Part Two delivers another masterclass in big room-bothering dancefloor anthems. Contributions come from Trick regulars Gabriele Toma, Gettoblaster, Dale Howard, Splonie, Matt Hibbert, and fresh blood, including Kevin Knapp, Blaise Bracic, Tactics, and Winter Games.

1. When did you start making music?
I started drafting melodies on the piano when I was five, and when I was like 12, I started writing emo lyrics that I thought were super deep to accompany those little ballads. At the end of 2023, I decided to enroll into Cosmic Academy and give it all a go again, and I think I made the right decision.

2. What makes YOU qwerky?
I'm obsessed with the idea of quests to the point where to get through boring things, I need to envision that I'm on a quest or playing a game, and my win will be presented to the leader, or else it isn't getting done. Struggles of ADHD.

3. If you were a cartoon character, who would you be?
Shego, Raven from teen titans, or any dark sexy bitch

4. What’s your favorite sound?
the sound of a microwave when it's done with the food I'm reheating at 3 am

5. You’re making dinner at your house… what’s on the menu?
Hot pot, complete with beef tendon meatballs, potato noodles, and sake for those who partake.

6. Who are 3 people you’d invite? (from any time period)

From completing a 9-date residency in 2022 at Ibiza's legendary DC10, to hosting a stage at EDC Orlando 2022, to attracting 10,000 ravers to The Warehouse Project in Manchester and bringing thousands to an Australian Debut in Melbourne in 2023. Then there is the Trick Weekenders, Budapest in 2022 and Tenerife in 2023. These events both saw 2,500 Trick Troops holiday and party together abroad, with Trick Tenerife this year set to double in size.

In 2024 Patrick is set to give back to his roots, bringing legions of fans to his hometown of Newcastle this summer 2024 with the launch of Trick Fest. Trick will also return to Ibiza, hosting a four-date residency in Hï’s Theatre on Wednesdays.
