Lift Me Up (Brighter Days)

Solardo’s first-ever Trick record, ‘Psycho’, lands on April 11th, hot on the heels of the label's 100th release from head honcho Patrick Topping. The sweat-inducing title cut opens up proceedings in a rugged, stomping fashion with subtle hints of electroclash. The off-balance bass makes for a wonky workout while distorted synth pressure and anthemic sung-spoken vocals send the party wild. 'Fall Apart' is another equally raw and off-kilter track with a warped bassline, gritty synths, and whirring machine sounds offset by tripped-out vocals that descend into all-out dancefloor carnage.

Formed in 2014, Manchester duo Solardo skyrocketed to fame and have subsequently become one of house music’s biggest names. With residencies at revered clubs like Hï Ibiza, their chart-topping Sola imprint and omnipresent tracks and remixes for the likes of Ultra and Defected, they continue to dominate the scene and ‘Psycho’ on Trick drives them forward in 2025.

Over the past eighteen months, Max Styler has skyrocketed from rising star status to become one of the most talked-about names in modern house music. Solardo are one of the UK’s strongest club acts. The self-styled “musical chameleons” have created massive hits (“Move Your Body”, “XTC”) and smashed it on the big stages (Glastonbury, Tomorrowland, EDC). Having conquered House and Tech House over the past 5 years, they hit 2025 with a twist. “Outta Space” samples the same Max Romeo classic (“Chase The Devil”, cleared before Romeo’s passing) that the Prodigy did. However, while the concept has been done before, Solardo bring the vocal up to date with a bang, delivering the kind of synth-propelled, bass-bouncing club track that fits in with Max Styler and Solomun’s Indie Dance sound. Released in time for Ibiza openings, this is a huge island anthem in waiting, we can hear this one working venues vast and small over the summer. A scorcher.

Trick is an acclaimed dance music label and event brand owned and curated by global dance music icon, Patrick Topping.

The Newcastle native launched Trick in 2019 as a platform to spot and champion emerging artists, both in the studio and behind the decks.
